The Curse of Chucky

Yes, I am talking as if the character is aware that Chucky is alive. Because the character is me. And I'm describing what I'd do. Sheesh, keep up.

And who would buy a doll with a knife?

So it's you, and you'd buy a doll that you were aware was alive and killed people then get rid of all of your knives? Wouldn't it be easier to just not buy a killer doll?

Yep. I guess that's how I'd outsmart Chucky. Not buy him.

That Chucky movie would be two minutes and consist of me going into the store and quickly going out when I see that the only toy they have for sale is a psychotic looking doll with a 'No Country for Old Man' haircut.

Straight to dvd? Ehh... It still might be good. I just hope they briefly explain what happened to Tiffany and Glen. Even if it's just one scene or flashback. Give it a reason to make some kind of continuity sense. Child's Play is good and Bride of Chucky is decent but the rest of these films aren't good(though 2 has it's moments). Let's hope this is more like the first film.

They used a lot of meta humor in the last one and did the film within a film routine I believe. I've seen people buying Chucky dolls at Spencer's so maybe they could spoof that. I don't think this would work as a straight horror again , they'll need to balance it.

As for Tiffany and Glen , no explanation is needed. Chucky's arm killed them at a birthday party , I don't really want to know where it went from there , lol.

Ya straight to dvd isn't that bad of a option. They have a better draw to horror/chucky fans this way. Then going to theaters and could possibly bomb.

I remember watching Seed of Chucky and dying of laughter. Even though the movie was horrible, I loved how it didn't take itself seriously whatsoever.

I loved the first Child's Play film, although I find it hard to believe that a foot and a half tall doll could lunge at a person and over-power them. If he was turning human, a blow from an average size person would inflict some damage on him. I would have punted his little ass

Dee Snider said it best. "It's a doll. Step on it. It's over."

So No Glen and No Tiffany? I hope thats the case Childs Play 1 and 2 were great 3 was ok. 4 and 5 however was funny but not that great but if its just Chucky killing people I'm all for it.

IMO it should have ended at 2 honestly. He only had X amount of time to get out of the dolls body, part 3 took place years later, Chucky blew his chances a looooong time ago, your stuck buddy

Not to mention that in Seed he pretty much excepted it and said **** it.

Also, I just read that the main character is played by Brad Dourif's daughter.

Also, I didn't like the fact that he gained notoriety for his actions. I think it was like Bride of Chucky where other people were well aware of Chucky and the things he did. I can deal with Michael Myers having notoriety, and Jason as well since his backstory revolves around Camp Crystal Lake, so he could be taken as an urban legend, but something about random people knowing of Chucky just didn't set well with me. If they really wanted to make a sequel, they should have taken it back to right after 2 and ignoring the other films that followed. It would have been cool to see Andy be blamed for the murders and put away in an insane asylum or prison, then Chucky setting out to find Andy to kill him for leaving him trapped in that body. Andy finally kills Chucky once and for all, gets gunned down by guards, at the end of the film, a dying Andy grabs the Chucky doll and the screen goes black

The clock restarts every time he gets a new body/dies and comes back.

I love the franchise and I feel it's a shame that it's now going to the direct to dvd/blu-ray route..But I can understand why!

The concept is damn silly,Yeah Charles Lee Ray was a serial killer and when as the doll he sneaked up&set-up traps But the whole voodoo thing and ways Chucky keeps getting resurrected is just not the same effect as Freddy/Jason&Micheal Myers!!

I love the Chucky character&the deaths and feel the movies 1-Bride overall are damn fun and even Seed has some moments But I think part 3-Seed could have been direct to video and it would have been find&perhaps even better!

Nice to hear production has started and snyposis sounds nice. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Lame.
I love the series, but if you're going to reboot it, reinvent it a bot too while your at it. Bringing back Douriff is a bad move if you ask me. Chucky was creepiest when talking in a doll voice. While I love Douriff, do something different.

This is a sequel and Douriff is onl returning to voice Chucky!

ya its not a reboot just a sequel not having tiff/glenn.

I ****ing loved 3 as a kid. 2 scared the **** out of me though. 1 was the only one that was actually a good movie though. I just loved how silly 3 was while still being somewhat scary.
