I love the series, but if you're going to reboot it, reinvent it a bot too while your at it. Bringing back Douriff is a bad move if you ask me. Chucky was creepiest when talking in a doll voice. While I love Douriff, do something different.

I Disagree NOES proved that not having Robert England as Freddy Krugger was a bad idea. Brad Douriff is the voice of Chucky and he always should be the voice of chucky.

Fiona is the daughter of Brad Dourif, best known as the voice of Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky. Now in post production for a rumored October release, the film also stars A Martinez, Danielle Bisutti and Brennan Elliott.
“Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. Well this flew under my radar. Sweet. LOVE this series (well, 1, 4 and 5. 2 & 3 were aight/terrible).

Really hope that washed-out, 70's color palette is indicative of the film and not just a result ol girl's Instagram. Hmm, and the new haircut does make Chucky look creepier.

So excited for this! I don't even care that its going straight to DVD cus that way they can pander to the horror/Chucky fans and not have to rely on what the "General Audience" would like. PLUS Fiona Dourif said on Twitter that this might play at a few film festivals before its release so that'll be good exposure (especially critically if its a quality film)!

I'm also happy to see he looks just as he did in the 1st film. And thank God they're ignoring Bride/Seed. It's time they made him scary again.

What I've never understood is the argument that Chucky isn't scary because he's a doll and he's so small. And yet people are deathly afraid of SPIDERS, SNAKES, MICE, INSECTS, etc.

Universal Pictures has the rights to Chucky & they own/run SyFy Channel so the new Chucky is bound to show up on there at some point but whether they pimp it out as a SyFy original movie or not I don't know.

I'm gonna end up blind-buying it, because Universal is doing a Blu-ray franchise boxset, and as far as I can tell, it's the only way to get Blus (immediately) for Child's Play 2-Seed of Chucky.

Wow I can't believe how kind of horrible that looks... It's so awkward I've been watching all the childs plays lately. I know this was coming out but my god. I'm glad to see chucky scary I like Bride of Chucky I think it's underrated and seed just sucks on all levels. God red man tryed to make me like it he was funny but that movie sucked... But Mancini needs to let someone else try and make a childs play movie.

I love chucky childs play is a classic. But my god the cg looks horrible. Ill buy it and the blu ray set just to keep hopes they remake childs play in theaters and really creep kids out like I was when I first seen chucky.

Side note brad dourif never ever stop doing chucky.

Doesn't look too bad. It's a direct to DVD horror sequel and I'm usually pretty forgiving with poor CG or practical effects in the first place, especially so here. It has Brad Dourif voicing a murderous doll and I enjoy the Hell out of that, so that's about as high as I hold the bar for the series. So it has my vote.

This looks like it's going to be the comedy of the year. Unfortunately...unlike the last installment in this monumental franchise, it will be unintentionally funny.

Chucky just looks more realistic in the face, like the transition from doll to human is complete & he can shift easier between the 2 forms.

I've never ever thought these movies were scary. They've always been hilarious to me even as a kid and this seems to be fitting right on in with the other ones.
