The CW Passes on Aquaman

Remember why they took the Ghost Rider trailer off line? And I can absolutely agree with this. Too early hype, the hype dies down. Nail the hype at just the right moment in time- the hype is still there for release. It's a way to keep the interest strong actually, rather than kill it.

A) It was never supposed to get Online

B) Crappy Ass looking Special Effects

Ok, GR, bad example. But, I don't know which film it was stated about- whether it be SR or X3. But, the lack of publicity was explained for the same reason. You have to hit the hype at just the right moment to make it swim.

Also, I took MilkMan's advice earlier and thus far JoBlo now has the news bulletin about it which links to both trailers (YouTube & Quicktime) and includes a link to the petition:

Aquaman Kicks Ass

Seeing how different the Marketing seems to be for both Movies I would say your thinking about SR

I just hope that if hopefully it does air that it doesnt become another smallville. And I so dont mean that in a bad way, but the reason why my family doesn't watch smallville is that they think that its boring and sappy and all that stuff. And while I don't think that its boring, the sappiness and teen angst is great for Superman. But we're talkin about Aquaman here. It would be really cool that if Aquaman makes it that it is more action and drama than sappy teen angst. Lets see some sea monsters, lets see some bada$$ supervillians, lets see something that would change action television forever, lets see.......something. Man I hope for this show to make it.

Well I'm remaining hopeful. The fact that Ms. Dawn made that statement is reason for remaining optimistic.

Loved Craig's review and that cast photo. Top-notch.

Well the trailer did it's job. There's lots of hype and buzz around this. It's popping up everywhere, some few haters here and there who don't like Aquaman and think he's lame, but the majority is definitely positive.

65,000 hits on YouTube, not even movie trailers get those numbers lol.

btw, where's that sig of yours from ? :)

Well, I'm glad this show still has a chance. I must admit, at first when they said they were making a show about Aquaman, I thought it was a joke, but after seeing that trailer, it looks AWESOME!

Things are looking up sounds like it. Anyword on how K-site got to see the pilot?

Craig knows people in the production offices, I think... He referred to reading Mercy in Steven DeKnight's blog and how much he liked it.

I don't know much about Craig, but I'm pretty sure he's got contacts...

I didn't realise DeKnight was working on Aquaman.

You mean Steven?

I know he mentioned Aquaman somewhere in there... I don't remember where it was, however.

He said something about maybe having to do "double duty" next season having to work both shows, but I don't remember where he said that... He's got dozens of posts on his blogs.

Oh, I get it now...

No, Craig was referring to the Smallville episode that Steven wrote, Mercy.

NOT Mercy Reef....

My mistake Trip. Oh and thanks for the add over at Myspace.

Oh, no problem...

Not that I ever update my blog so having me as a friend on myspace will probably be kinda boring...

:D

Over 80,250 views over at you tube. Holy crap. **Again** I hope this show gets picked up. SO much cool stuff could happen on it. They could have his first battle with Black Manta, they could have Krakens and other sea monsters, they could have Atlantis finding out about him and sending an invasion force to either kill him or catch him. I mean anything could happen. AQUAMAN AQUAMAN AQUAMAN, everybody together now, AQUAMAN AQUAMAN AQUAMAN!
