One did, and she's the one that said it was 'okay'. The rest haven't read it.

well i loved this film and i havent read the book, I'd love to see it again right now, great writing and great ideas, a lot of thought was put into it, something i never really have ever thought of

i'd say its on my top 20 favorate films

The Da Vinci Code is litterally word for word... from the book. So that may be why some people say its sorta of boring. Personally I loved the film.

Just saw this film today and Its so much like the book its a page turner on the screen! I loved every minute of it. 9/10.

Exactly... :) Glad you liked it.

t's actually not word for word. Sure, most of the dialogue is, but there are many things (that I've read so far) that were cut out or changed.

PHI was never mentioned. The part where they get the keyston from behind Madonna Of The Rocks (aka So Dark the Con of Man) in the movie didn't have a guard making a deal with Sophie whle Sophie is putting her knee though the painting.

Sure, they cut stuff out, but seriosuly, I don't want another Lord of the Rings-type book-movie translation. 150 minutes is fine by me lol

Who are veryone's fave characters? I love (literally) Sophie Neveu, she's smart, beuatiful and excellent at solving crimes. But then there's Silas: a depressed soul willing to live his life like Jesus did and willing to self-mutilate to feel the pain of Jesus. He's actually a very well written and sad character.

This movie made me a fan of Audrey Tatou, also, a very beautiful woman (although when I watch Amelie [whenever I get it grr...it's like $10 in Big W!!!] I might be turned off lol because of her short hair, I love long hair for some reason). lol. That's my two and a half cents.

Just thought I'd do this for $h!ts and giggles:

Finally got to see it today, i thought it was decent but having read the book beforehand i knew it was gonna be a touch heavy on the dialogue and it did drag as a movie IMO
Some of the cuts and changes were helpful cinematic-wise rather than hidering and i somewhat prerfered the ending in the movie to the book but i didn't like the use of that damn phone over the library or the fact Langdon's stance was much less commited and he was used to put the church's side over
The unravelling part before the final twist was to rushed as well IMO

6.5/10

I've been meaning to ask this, in the trailer there's a scene where Paul Bettany is killing someone in a car but I dont remember that scene in the movie, was that a deleted scene?

I thought the movie was great (even though it changed some things from the book). I cannot wait until they commit to making Angels and Demons which i think was the superior book of the two. I also cannot wait until his third book on Langdon. I think it is about the free masons.
