I had to look up the original character to see how it was changed. Major improvement over the original. I like that you put a lot of personality into the costume. When I see it, I immediately think "over-the-top Mexican wrestler" whereas the original design didn't have much of a story to tell and didn't give the viewer a whole lot of information about the character.

The one thing I think your design could use is the black eyes of the original. They seem to really define his face in the comic's design and your design doesn't have the same impact in the face without the black lenses or cloth.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback Keith.
Yeah, I wanted to avoid the "black" eyes or lenses as I feared they were a little too "harsh" there's really no black in any of the costume elements, when I tried having them black it was kinda jarring.

The idea which might not have enough detail to come across was having the yellow on the helmet being more of a lens. Kinda like booster gold's goggles or something. but a little less clear. So you could still see expressions, they'd just be kinda foggy shadowy shapes in the yellow.

it is a good redesign and you kept a little cheetah print which is good

credit goes to "crikett" over on the DAZ3d forums for this...

but, just came across this design, its definitely an interesting look (could maybe do without the full mask, but, that's just, imo) other wise quite good

something like this could almost even work for a futuristic, Batman Beyond, look (just color that symbol red)...

Just a really cool find that I thought I'd share...

I actually think that's a really cool design all over

I might take a crack at making it batman beyond

Its a work in progress I started a while ago. Not sure when i'll finish it so I thought I'd post it now.

Its a mock Wizard magazine article about an upcoming JLI movie.
ask me about the cast if you cannot tell who is cast as who.

since his "armor" suit is supposed to be ceremonial i made it more regal looking with a simple color change and belt fix since i hate his new belt

white and gold instead of blue and yellow

I love that this thread is still going strong. There's some great artwork floating around here.

A Batman redesign I've been working on for some time, finally decided on a final version.

I'm actually doing the entire Justice League (or, my ideal JL, that is) but this is my first time inking and coloring my own work in Photoshop, so it'll take some time.

I'll probably do one that shows the entire body later, but I was kinda bored with the standard "pose" image, so I wanted to do an ensemble-piece with a little more action. Of course, not much of an ensemble here, but I'll connect the entire JL later.

Ok, here's a quick version that shows the whole body. Working on rooftop/gargoyle and background too, but I don't think I'll have any more time today.

Now, this design is a variant of something I posted on this forum a while ago, at the time when Dick was rumored to be taking over as Batman, and this was basically my idea. I wanted him to look a bit more sleek and modern, with some acrobat-influences while still maintaining the Batman-look. You may also notice I gave him a split cape, my idea here is that this gives the cape more a look of wings than it just being a cape. I'm not, however, that pleased with how the cape looks in this particular image, but it was very rushed.

Note, however, that even though I'm pretty pleased with this design, this is not necessarily how my ideal Batman looks, as I tend to favor the more practical/militaristic version. I do think this would suit a Dick Grayson-Batman very well, though.

need help with this one, its a work in progress

i would really love opinions and ideas

I really like your idea with the visor. I always tend to draw Flash with goggles myself, but the visor is not a bad idea.

Now, I threw this together, which is a far better representation of what my ideal Batman looks like. Still experimenting with drawing in photoshop, but I'll probably go back to old fashioned pencils and ink.
