I like that it's practical without going all out Nolan on batman

Wonder Woman, Donna Troy, Wondergirl

Batman, Robin(Tim Drake), Nightwing

First post here, my vision of a mature Nightwing. Not the best pics I'll admit, but thoughts are welcome :)

Geekple's rebooting of a reboot rebooted version of the DCU. After me and my mate Adam discussed about the DC Newverse having gotten rid of all the Crisis but keeping Blackest Night/Brightest Day, Flaspoint and possible Zero Hour it leaves more questions then answers about this new rebooted DCU? So to make sense of it and have abit of fun, and did our own versions of the DCU. So I started off with my fave DC Hero: Green Lantern and his Universe!!

This is my redesign of one of the famous and important characthers to the GL Mythos: The Guardians of the Universe!!

Anyone well versed in Doctor Who might think this image might look familiar it's cause I took ideas from The Face of Boe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Face_of_Boe I thought if The Guardians been around for Billions and Billions of years they would evoluted past the need to have bodies, arms and the concept of talking with there mouths, they get to a point they be talking with there minds, and cause all The Guardians have done and do is sit and watch/look over/after the Universe, it's not like they really get up and move, so I thought over Billions and Billions of years they would evolute into one big massive blue head with great brains and eyes.

evil_star_redesign_by_spidey_bags-d4de6pb.jpg

To me Evil Star is one of my fave Green Lantern bad guys but he doesn't get the spotlight or the degree of awesomeness I beleieve he should have. So when me and my mate were discussing Rebooting DCU in our eyes, I jumped at the chance of Rebooting Green Lantern and his Universe, from the get go Evil Star was on my list of rebooting, I made him look more alien like cause I get sick of the cheap looking human aliens (I understand why it's used on tv, but on comics book?? c'mon guys!! lol). Mostly his origin will stay the same, more so with my Evil Star reboot it's lookwise that's changed the most

krona_redesign_by_spidey_bags-d4cs9ns.jpg

Krona will be the first wielder of the "green light" but too much power went to his head and he became obsessed with total control over the Universe and to find it's secrets, this almost destroyed the Universe. The other Guardians took his powers from him and enprisioned him in the anti-matter Universe so he could never hurt anyone else. Millions of years later, some people knowing the legend of Krona begun a following, a sort of cult for him and hope and plan for his return to this Universe.

black_hand_redesign_by_spidey_bags-d4de7ld.jpg

My version of Black Hand will be keeping more in the ideas of his Necrophilia and his death fetish. So I made his suit into a type of gimp looking suit, that would echo his tastes and fetish and his outlook on the darker side of life and the taboo side. Also in my reboot I'll make him an amputee and have him growing up with everyone looking at him differently and calling him a freak. He'll be a s&m lover and obsessed with death and dead people which will bring him into the eyes of Nekron his dark master and the one that replaces his lost arm with a Black Lantern one and make him his first Lantern in the coming Black Lantern Corps and our version of Blackest Night. Like Black Hand in Geoff Johns run he'll be from a heavy Christian family and his family's business were Undertakers.

I beg to disagree, the lines actually draw your eye towards the "S", IMO. Here's a more finished version the artist did a while back:

If by "iconic", you mean "no trunks", then yes, you're correct in that regard. Other than that, it has most of the elements of previous Superman costumes: cape, chest emblem, red boots, blue color, no gloves, etc.

Here's a more finished version of the artist's Batman design:

Looks like he was going for a more shadowy, monstrous look instead of "guy-in-suit". Either way, it's more creative, and more original than the Batman redesign you're praising above (no offense to that artist, but it's just the same ol' with no trunks).

Also, if you reduced a lot of movie superhero costumes to simple line art, they'd look overly complicated as well. In the group shot, the artist has yet to add shading and texture, as well as blend some of the seamlines. But, judging from your art thread, I doubt you have the foresight or creativity to picture such things.

And regarding his WW design, looks like he got rid of the unneeded American patriotism, and the weird bathing suit design (Is that how they all dress on Amazon Island???), and gave her something more practical and fashionable. But, to each his own...

No this looks like a rather familiar artist whoused to post one here! I loved his Juggernaut redesign and that batman started off pretty freaking awesome too!

Here's a Powergirl redesign I just submitted to project rooftop:

And here's the design phase:

Based her on Allison Mack.

I like it , very clever how you intigrated the power symbol

Thanks! I figured with her owning a software/technology company it would be a little ironic using the symbol. Also it says "power" and "girl" right there :yay:

The power symbol is upside down. Other than that I like it

Let me first start off saying I'm not a Green Lantern fan but I was watching GL:First flight and I felt inspired So I put this together over the next week and here is the result. A 3d model of a Green Lantern I'm gonna say Hal but he probably doesn't look like Hal from the comics but Hal looks like whoever is drawing him. .

Yeah i really believe that alien characters should be weirder than human supers. Here is my martian manhunter:

Here is Harley armed with tempered glass acid hammer, shotgun revolver and mini grenades (on hat and neck) greys are soft weaved bulletproof armor, and she is wearing protective goggles and ear muffs ... for her squad look.

This trunks-less design looks better than the MOS design, not that I dont like the MOS design. But the top being a seperate piece from the bottom breaks it up without needing trunks or a belt. The MOS design looks like a single unitard and kinda awkward.

Let's keep this thread alive and kicking. After looking through some of these, I decided to take a shot again. I've also been playing lot of DCU Online, where I created an alternate Batman. So, decided to use heromachine to create him on what he'd look like decked out as Batman. (Story I came up for him was that he's from Earth-1988, where Superman reigned supreme)

Well here he is, let me know what you guys think.
