The DC characters REDESIGN thread

I'm at work and this is what boredom plus access to photoshop gives ya.

Redesign on Green Lantern, tried to make it look more like a military/police uniform and less superhero spandex. Figure in the pouches he would carry a small back up charger for his ring just in case along with some basic provisions.

Chevrons on one arm denoting rank and on the other a patch with home planet flag.

i really like this simple yet functional not shure about the sunglasses in space

a mask that covers his whole face would be interesting.

yeah that would be cool but how to do it and it be interesting not just covering up his face

I think, with GLs, the mask should be optional. I mean, not all of them keep who they are a secret on their home world. Most don't.

Shades all the way. Makes him look like an interstate trooper, and outside of making him look facist (my personal preferance) troopers are the next best thing.

Exactly, that's the look I was going for. Total Super Trooper.

This is AMAZING! I love this! I really like the 2 tone supes suit.

I always thought the GL would look good with the protective glasses SWAT uses sometimes except with green lenses.

I also thought they should have the small ear piece comunicators they used in X2, but Im fairly certain they can communicate with each other with their rings.

They can as far as I know...but if you have the technology why waste the rings power on something like that? At least that was the reasoning behind giving them the ear mike

Makes sense to me. Astronauts sheild their eyes because of the brightness of the Sun. The Green Lanterns Corps traverse Solar Systems, they would presumambly have to sheild their eyes as well.

Deathstroke: The suit is all black, and it looks akin to special forces gear. It has padding on the knees, elbows, and shoulders. He has big ass military boots, and leather tactical gloves with no fingers to them, to give him a better grip on his weapons. As usual, he has a broadsword strapped across his back, and has a rather large automatic riffle in his hand. The only thing that truely identifies him as Deathstroke is his half black/half dark orange mask, which is left unchanged.

Here it is, I left the gun out because, well, I dont really know how to draw a good riffle, I tried but it came out pretty bad so I decided to leave it out.

I was looking up some random drawings and happened across an Elseworlds "Gotham By Gaslight" Batman, and I was thinking it might be cool to do Superman. Here's the sketch.

Interesting SuperBatman. I really think you passed up an oportunity to design a cool cowl though, and while I like the cape, I find myself wanting to see the rest of his costume.
