Redesigned Guy's GL uniform. Same sleeveless jacket, but no turtleneck and short sleeves. No big white belt, or big moon boots.

John C. McGinley as Guy Gardner, he too is great at playing macho loud mouths. But he too is around 50.

but you understand where i'm coming from right? the coke won't taste any different if they change the logo. so WHY change it? the underwear doesn't define superman, so why change it?

it's a matter of where you draw the line i suppose. i don't think it's that small or silly of an aspect, because it is has been the subject of much debate. so clearly it's not a small issue.

you said you wouldn't want get rid of the cape. just like that, when someone tells me they want to get rid of the trunks, it's as if someone told you to get rid of the cape. means the same thing to me. a guy wearing a cape is very very goofy, (and obnoxious) too if you think about it.

Like I said we agree to disagree. IMO the cape adds Undies don't. Changing the logo wouldn't make coke taste different. Would I change it...why not if it doesn't make sense but that's just me.

Since DC owns the Milestone characters and are bringing some like static back I went looking for an Icon Redesign (there black superman) and found this by mase0ne on DA:

There are elements about the suit that I like. The "S" looks like graffiti to me, but I do like the "regal" approach it has to it. Not sure about the alien writing on the belt, but it's a nice idea overall. Not sure I'd want to see it used, but it's a cool concept for sure.

This looks awesome.

Just get rid of the belt all together and it's done.

The cape also looks cool just going over the sholders...I dont think he needs those red triangle things actually on his sholders...(the way it is in the side view of him) the cape just draping his sholder is fine

I agree the triangles aren't needed but I think the belt is to break up the blue. I don't like the kryptonian symbols on the belt. Strange this suit doesn't seem to fit the feel of McG movie.

Took it upon myself to make three changes, that others MAY or MAY NOT agree with (I used MS PAINT so I apologize for the bad quality):

1. Cape = Collar
2. Cape drapes sholders
3. No belt

first 2 changes are good. Keep the belt though. I think you need a small buffer between all the blue

The sans le belt gives it a Neo feel

Which isn't neccessarily a good thing, Not trying to make him look like the one.

But I just like it without, because realistically. There is no use for thebelt. It's a small little decoration.

The cape can be argued to be useless as well, but it's a nice dramatic look, making Superman look like royalty

Sans belt makes it look like PJs to me. The whole body stocking thing works for Flash because hes got the lightning bolts at his waist.

I wouldnt go as far to say royalty but theres certainly a prestige factor over the traditional superhero template that he has now.

I know what you mean about the PJs. I can understand why it may look like too much blue, but something about it I like.

i always like seeing redesigns for superman. although, if anyone here knows me long enough, they know i love wouldn't change the classic suit design. but seeing these designs would be great for Jor-EL, or to build a population of krypton. i just imagine the whole world of krypton with people wearing the redesigns. Zod, council members, lara, jor-el.

i always like seeing redesigns for superman. although, if anyone here knows me long enough, they know i love wouldn't change the classic suit design. but seeing these designs would be great for Jor-EL, or to build a population of krypton. i just imagine the whole world of krypton with people wearing the redesigns. Zod, council members, lara, jor-el.

What about something subtle, like a simple shortening of the sleeves?
