Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Direction of the show...

I hope it doesn't try to be "SHIELD-light". I hope it has a direction that is more in the vein of detective/vigilante. More of a superhero show than an agent show is what I think they should do.

It's pretty close to that already, just make the gray parts lighter.
Honestly, I'm much more interested in seeing her merge the batons into a bo staff.

Yeah, this forum caught me by surprise. I thought I missed some news.

Thanks for starting the thread. I think this is the million dollar question. To me, Agents of SHIELD has changed tone to be more superhero-y (with the Secret Warriors), which opens this one up for a more traditional spy show. The problem, traveling to exotic locales, trying to do spy stuff, etc. runs the risk of having the tone of Season one of AoS. The hope is it'll be far more focused than that, but we'll see.

We didn't get to see the WW one. That wasn't screened on TV as far as I recall. Wasn't it even incomplete with some scenes missing? I thought everyone just watched a copy online.

I think saw it on TV, and by mistake too, 'cause I didn't go looking for it.

I was about to say. I'm not sure how much sense it would make for this series to be "superhero-y" when it's about two agents on the run. It's obviously going to aim more for the secret agent aspect. Which I don't mind. I've never felt that powers or costumes inherently add value to a show, for me it's about the show being well written, plotted, and acted. The writers already had some practice on AoS, and unlike that show they shouldn't be held back waiting for a movie reveal.
