The Director of Flash is...

I want Blonkamp to direct Superman.

well it was mentioned by showtime that Nolan wants a rookie director so...unless Bloomkamp is willing to let his next sci-fi movie go, I don't know. Bloomkamp sounded jaded when he mentioned his 'Halo' experience.

My theory is that it could be a guy like Neill...or Jonathan Nolan himself. again only a theory. the only problem is that Jonathan has express a disinterest in directing..

i thought the first one was ambitious in it's own right and visually amazing. as amazing as Blade Runner and probably as influential.

But the movie itself was fairly dull. I love slow movies and i can tolerate 'slow burn' pacing if its done right. Tron was just slow and uninteresting when they were in the real world.

I don't really like Blade Runner that much either, although I love Rutger Hauer in it. It's strange. I actually like most of Ridley Scott's movies. That 1 I just couldn't get into. Kind of like Star Wars. I can watch them and enjoy them but they don't mean much to me. :yay:

blade runner was just like tron: visually awesome but painfully dull. of course, people were more kind to blade runner over the years thanks to its association with mr. scott.

i almost forgot that you don't like star wars. poor jake casidy!

I like them. I just said I hated them as a joke but you got so serious about it I couldn't help myself. I just kept going with it. :woot:

Ridley Scott is a legend. His brother's great too.

I love True Romance and The Last Boy Scout.

It's fairly important to me too.

It's really hard to nail down rookie directors who are talented. There's isn't a track record to go by..

Like before, I've mentioned that Berlanti's closest comparison would be Matt Reeves who did Cloverfield; previously he did mostly TV work.

Say what you will about M. Night, but he started off with a Rosie O' Donnell movie before The Six Sense.

With music video directors, you can strike gold with Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry and most recently Marc Webb. But then you got guys like Brett Ratner.

In the indie scene, WB struck gold with Christopher Nolan. Neill Bloomkamp has never made a feature length movie before District 9. But then you get guys like the dude who did Wolverine, who really really sucked.
That's what I'm saying, more or less: Berlanti's ability (or lack thereof) is completely unknown. He could go either way.

I'll put The Flash in there with Spider-Man and X-Men, filed under "Movies I wish Joss Whedon was directing."

people always talk about this Ackles goof and never about the other guy on Supernatural.

I likke both leads. Jared Padalecki is on my list of potential Superman candidates.

since Geoff Johns is involved, the story itself could be great. but on the visuals, yeah, you need some one with a vision.

True, but I only want him as Flash.

Also the same could be said of Henry Cavill and Scott Porter

Yes; the pantheon of Hype actors qualified only by their jawlines.

i wouldn't mind if they got Carl Erik Rinsch for Superman or The Flash.

think of him as another bloomkamp. he was up to do the alien prequel before it fell through. i also think he's married to Ridley scott's daughter or something like that.

I love 'Supernatural'. Imagine if they were Superman and Flash. It's be weird. Cool, but weird. :woot:

Lol there's a few more, too. They also have female counterparts who are suggested for every whcih role whther or not they suit the role, like MEW whom I love, but is not right for every femalke role available.

I wanted MEW for WW back when the JL movie was happening. Now I want her for Lois Lane. :yay:

She was the best choice of the contenders, I was one of the founders of the MEW Crew remeber ;)

anyway I have seen her suggested for basically every love interest left to cast.

she seems to be more of a Mary Jane type. that, and maybe my future wife.

I've only seen people want her as Mary-Jane and since I hate Spider-Man that better never happen. :cmad:
