Would be pretty cool if DOFP ends being the second highest grossing movie of 2014 :D (#1 would be EPIC, but thats a bit harder, not impossible, but harder. But as always, time wil tell)

Awesome! I do hope DOFP outgrosses TASM2!

You say that but surprisingly loads of people actually prefer TASM to Raimis 1st Spider-Man movie, infact I was shocked that the case as I was expecting alot of negativity towards it but Raimis movies are getting more negativity these days. I liked TASM too and I think now that this reboot origin story is done it will make more money at box office

Probably Recent movie bias.

Anyway, we could really only w/c series is the most popular to the audience once the TASM series ended.

How Star Trek Into Darkness has made less than the first one who did more than 200m domestically really surprises me.

even Hangover 3 has made half Hangover 2. only 42 million! wait, Ive just seen, it has made less than the previous two movies! wow.

For me, it didn't. For Star Trek 2, it received less hype and the 4 years gap kinda hurt it IMO. It was also kinda a big surprise before that the 1st one did so well. Star Trek wasn't really a big seller before the reboot.

For Hangover 3, there were a lot of bad word of mouth for the last movie. I didn't watch the film, but I heard a lot of criticisms about the movie.

If Interstellar looks as cool as Inception people are gonna jump on that quick. It will probably be up there in the 800s WW.

I'm curious how much of an effect Furious 7 and GoTG will have on DofP box office. Star Trek didn't do as well as most thought being inbetween a Marvel and Fast flick. Regradless, I think the opening weekend should be friggen huge for DofP.

I definitely think Fast Seven will earn less just because the gap between of it and Fast 6 is just 1 year. I'm pretty sure GOTG will not be huge.

Really people calling Kick Ass 2 more popular than The Wolverine and DOFP?

Why do people think Warner Brothers blink and put third hobbit for december
2014:woot:

most of the movies on that list are 2013 movies, Amazing Spiderman 2 appears, but practically at the bottom.

DOFP will appear soon, we'll see.

Empire is a UK-based magazine. X-Men isn't that big there. So its not a big deal.

but DOFP has to be BIG everywhere! lol

the more good positions the better. But as I said, once the teaser trailer comes, I bet the movie will be on almost all the top 10, if not all.

Its gonna be a big hit next year!

Its THE blockbuster of 2014!

- 2014 Early Domestic Preview: Will 'Spider-Man', 'Transformers', or 'X-Men' Lead the Summer of Tentpole Franchises Without Momentum?

What, then, are next summer's "banner" releases?

For the first time in nearly a decade for its series, the front-runner seems to be X-Men: Days of Future Past. Online buzz for the film has been audible as it promises to unite the original cast with their well-regarded, younger counterparts from 2011's First Class. Yes, the X-Men franchise slipped from its box office peak after 2006, but as The Avengers proved, sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Days of Future Past will feature a large ensemble led by Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, and James McAvoy (among many others) with Bryan Singer returning to direct the mutants for the first time since 2003's X2. The recent move to a Memorial Day weekend opening--just three weeks after Spidey--indicates that Fox has a lot of confidence in it. The sequel has consistently been one of the most discussed movies on Twitter.

MOST BUZZ FILM OF 2014!!!

Let's hope The Wolverine is Batman Begins to Days of Future Past's The Dark Knight.

(Very disappointing numbers for TW :( )

it will be, dont worry.

DOFP will be like FC2,X4 and Wolverine 3 ALL at once.

so... great critics of FC and TW will have the first real impact on DOFP

A non comic book movie statistic.....

Judi dench won a Oscar for 8 minutes of screen time.....

With good acting anything can happen even for the smallest of times on screen!

It doesn't even have final weekend numbers, or any international which we heard is strong. Nothing has disappointed yet.

The most important thing is that a majority of people who walk into DOFP will have done so having liked The Wolverine and First Class. Past two X-Men movies have been good. So Fox is back on track.

as long as it reachs 150 domestically and more than 200 in the foreign market, it will do same or more than FC.

I'll I care about right now is that the movie was awesome. If it sucked I would not be looking forward to a Wolverine centric DOFP. But since Jackman owned that role and kicked more ass in 5 min then he did the whole X-Men trilogy it has made me more hyped for DOFP.

If the wolverine does less than first Class that's a very bad omen going Into DOFP.

That means the entire future of franchise Is resting on Days of future past.Fox Is spending 200 Million at least on DOFP.It domestic numbers aren't close to Man of steel's 285 Million
close to adjusted domestic takes for X2(282 Million) and Last Stand(283 Million) you can kiss expansion of universe goodbye. The wolverine underperforming may kill X-Force.

Some people on this board may want that so the X-Men can be rebooted. But,be carefull what you wish for.You may get film mostly based on Ultimate X-Men.

DOFP will be HUGE.

I dont even have 5% of worries about it

Cap America did around 350, and look at Avengers. so..... similar case will happen next year. Mark my words

Ok seriously, stop freaking out. Lack of interest in The Wolverine does not mean lack of interest in DOFP. The Wolverine just didn't present itself as a must-see movie. DOFP will. COUNT ON IT.

totally agree.

DOFP is a whoooooooooooooole different mounster.

An IMPRESSIVE cast, a huge and stron storyline with plenty of action, robots and power. NOTHING like what The Wolverine was selling.
