the dumbest idea in comics,so far,for you.

DC thinking a Blue Beetle/Booster Gold comic wouldn't sell.

Nearly every comic since Dark Knight deciding to become grimmer and more realistic in search of higher sales. Most including unneeded/unnecessary deaths of characters.

Making Scarlet Witch a plot device.

Batgirl's bastardization.

Anyone who likes it has an incorrect opinion.

XORN!!! first for making Magneto look like a crackhead, then they say he's a wannabe, then they bring him back as the collective? WTF?!?! NO MORE!!

Having Spidey die and ressurected by the Spider-God.....and Sins Past....it's a toss up!!

I like the new costume he has for the civil war and as long as its not perminent (which it won't be) I am fine with it. I don't like how his death was at the hands of a villian who wasn't classic. Want to kill Spiderman? Fine, just make GG or Ock do it!

all the b*****ks they've put spider-man through over the last five years or so... the Totems, Disassembled, The Other... All of them enhancing his powers, altering his perception of himself... for what?

- the Totem storylines featuring Morlun, although being a decent read when read in paperback form, and although JMS does some of the best Spidey dialogue around, doesn't really serve to further the storyline or the character in any way

- He turned into a Spider. Oh no, sorry, he turned into a spider, but then he was... INSIDE the spider... even though he WAS the spider...

- He had about one issue to use his new powers after The Other before he got his new costume from Tony, which pretty much negates any and all enhanced abilites he recieved from the story!

WWWWWWHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY!

oh yes, and Sins Past. needless sensationalism, with no long-lasting ramifications. and it lasted for FIVE MONTHS.

Without a DOUBT... the absolute "dumbest" thing I've ever seen in a comic book, or more specifically, in a Spider-Man book, was bringing back Norman Osborn and making him responsible for NOT ONLY the Clone Saga, but practically every important stage in Peter Parker's life...

Any writer worth his or her salt could have come up with a better resolution without reverting to such a nonsensical "quick fix".

Civil war - dumbest idea ever. Civil war starting over a mutant registration act? how ******ed

Sharon Ventura mutating into a "She-Thing" over in Fantastic Four...

That always struck me as completely ridiculous.

Oh now that was cool! :p
you know, you can pretty much mess up any other character in any way you want but when you start messing with doom, that's where you draw the line. character is cool and all but why give him hoof legs, kinda spoilet his first arc imo...

Did you even anything that has to do with Civil War?

Man, so many dumb ideas. Maybe I'll break it down by book:

Captain America: Cap armor and new shield.
Iron Man: Tony Stark dies, only to be replaced by younger Tony Stark.
X-Men: Xorn/Magneto debacle....although, I think the different direction the books took after X-Men the Movie came out pretty much was a bad idea. I think that's when we first saw Xorn, and the Xavier school just became overrun with tons of mutant kids. X-Men has never reclaimed the glory it had for me since then...even Astonishing X-Men is only so-so.
Fantastic Four: The worst thing I've ever seen was the female Thing. It still gives me the creeps.
Hulk: I really didn't like the whole idea of "Bruce Banner is dying, and you don't know which version of Hulk is going to emerge." The stories weren't bad; but, it always seems like a bad move to have your main character supposedly going to die in the near future. We've seen it done with Captain America, Iron Man, and many others. They never die...or, if they do, they come back, ala Superman, soon enough.
Spider-Man: I was going to say The Other...but, Sins Past was just soooo bad. Both of those make The Clone Saga seem so much better, I must say. Bring back Scarlet Spider!!!!
Avengers: Bendis and the New Avengers....nuff said.
Daredevil: "Fall From Grace" storyline and everything after, until Kevin Smith came along to start up Vol. 2. I remember when the storyline and new costume came out, it was really in high demand...but, the stories were just crap, and it really is a big blemish in an otherwise great, great comic book.
Defenders: The New Defenders. When the book changed direction and it was told that the original members of the Defenders could never team up again, or disaster would strike, the book became very unreadable. There is a reason the final issues of Defenders Vol. 1 can be still found in the quarter bin.

Why has no one mentioned Nightwing Post IC?

The Dumbest thing for a cool idea was JLA and The Avengers or was it vs. the Avengers..i can't remember ..why did they make it a story when it should have been about the two teams fighting to the death..or thats how i see it going down.

All the time: Galactus

Right now: The stupid **** Bendis is doing with Ultimate Spiderman. Seriously what's happening??

Youre so not smart.

I've only followed DC from time to time. With Superman, the Blue Costume and new powers was the worst, definitely. Most of Batman I've really liked. I know Azreal's Batman costume was pretty bad, but it was necessary to show how is vision of Batman is different than Bruce Wayne's. I guess the last story that officially ended War Games really is my biggest stinker. I hated how the doctor friend of Batman was the one to blame for killing Stephanie. Now, the spin-offs, especially as someone pointed out with Nightwing after IC, has not been a particular highlight at times. Nightwing after IC officially killed the interest in Jason Todd for me.

One thing I hate about DC is how they constantly kill off main characters and just try to make a younger version. They've done it with Blue Beetle, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow. At least Marvel hopefully learned a big lesson when they tried it with Iron Man. And, DC has done it as a way to generate sales. I think all of the big three have been replaced at one point: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. To me, for every great thing DC does, like Infinite Crisis, they have at least double that sucks or shouts of them trying the same old approach to sell comics, i.e. making Blue Beetle a newer, younger version. Yawn!

Oh, and the worst thing that I've read from DC is probably the Armaggedon fiasco.

Hey, I liked JLA/Avengers.

And yeah the Armageddon thing was horrible horrible horrible.

Sweet Another Saint Paul Boy:up:

I don't like how Wolverine can do everything, Alteast they are starting to tone down Batman a bit. Wolverine has just become a joke of his former self IMO.
