the dumbest idea in comics,so far,for you.

Without a DOUBT... the absolute "dumbest" thing I've ever seen in a comic book, or more specifically, in a Spider-Man book, was bringing back Norman Osborn and making him responsible for NOT ONLY the Clone Saga, but practically every important stage in Peter Parker's life...

Any writer worth his or her salt could have come up with a better resolution without reverting to such a nonsensical "quick fix".

But did Revelations at least read well for you?

Within 4 months after PP:SM #75, I gave up buying monthly Spider-Man comics for the first time in over 19 years.

I only started again 4 years later, when JMS came on board.

I don't like how Wolverine can do everything, Alteast they are starting to tone down Batman a bit. Wolverine has just become a joke of his former self IMO.

Yeah, I totally agree about Wolverine. One of the reasons I am really hating his character is the fact that so many people have done things that originally would have killed him, healing factor or not. And, couple that with the fact that a villian is always dealing him a deathblow, but not any of the other X-Men without a healing factor, it makes it even more absurd. "I'm going to fry Wolverine down to his skeleton, but I'll only knock Cyclops out with a tap to the head." At least make my unrealistic world of superheroes a bit realistic in the grand scheme of things.

I can one-up Sins Past.

Wolverine and letting Bendis write books have to be the two cardinal sins of comics..

From this one series, the whole debacle that was the relaunch of Epic Comics started. This is truly the worst comic series I have EVER read from Marvel.

Thats some Pwnage right there.

I still think the dumbest thing ever is the Return of Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Joss Whedon must have been the only person who remembered her..

I've come across her before. She was a Morrison creation, so really not that old. I want to see someone bring back the first X-Force.

It's not that she was old, it's that she was rather inconsequential. It's like bringing victims of the Mutant Massacre back- ythey were largely created to die, why not leave bad enough alone? And Whedon brought her back in a costume that looks way worse than the original...

Eh. I never liked that about Morrison, killing off all these novel and cool characters. By the end of the series I began to see the genius of his take on X-Men, making them actual freaks rather than a team of beautiful X-Teenagers. So when Beak, Angel, Xorn, and the rest were all (as it turned out) created to die I was rather miffed. So anything returning from his run I welcome.

The character Vulcan.
That really is/will become a retcon waiting to happen. It really would be easy to end up saying he is not the third brother. My bet is following Brubaker's run he'll end up being some energy construct that pretended to be the brother of Cyclops and Havok or something.

^I'd rather they follow through with the idea that Gambit is the third Summers brother. I always thought that worked best. But even the character of Vulcan is dumb to me.

What's Gambit suppose to be now 27-28. Cyclops is 28-29 these days (last quoted age was 28). It would be real hard. I guess you could do the whole clone things. However Brubaker's arc fails to explain how Sinister would even know about this "brother". He certainly watched the X-Men, but some students who were standing around for 30 minutes while Xavier gave them telepathic training, seems like Sinister could have missed those. Furthermore it was really silly retconning the Island as not living. That was obviously something they thought of like two days before writing it.

^I think it's best that the third brother is a mystery but if they want to give him a face I think it should be Gambit.
Yeah the whole retcon of the Island was just plain old stupid to me compared to other X-Men stories.

lets see Jason Todd's return. Kinda of already gotten over the new Iron Spidey suit...Uhh oh yeah I almost forgot the day when they stopped publishing any Marvel monster books now that was just dumb. I loved the one shots but I crave more Marvel Monsters.
