I saw it first time, when I was only 8. That explains why I didn't get it right in my childhood.

After the argue in thread about movies, which deserved Oscar Awards more than films,w hich got it (I was trying to explain why The Raging Bull was better movie than other nominants)., I decided to re-watch The Elephant Man.

I bought it on DVD and after what I saw I was shocked. It was so brilliant movie that I couldn't even stop sympathizing the main character and the problem of people's lack of ability of understanding him.

Lynch made his masterpiece and one of the best films of early 80s.

9 out of 10.

Great film, and Mel Brooks was an executive producer on the film. However he asked for his name to be removed from the credits because he didn't want people to get the wrong idea about the movie when they saw his name.

9/10.

I didn't really dig it, but a superb film.

It has John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins...

Why the **** haven't I seen it yet??
