The End-All, Be-All to Movie Tournaments

Yeah, but you actually wrote the first to 8 wins. So all this win by two and such would be obsolete. But since you just edited your post and deleted that first to 8 is the winner, I just don't know. This is just disorganized.

Umm what?? So you're saying it's ok and makes sense to vote a movie over another just because you haven't seen one of them?
Yes. I vote for movies I haven't seen all the time. A voter should know themself well enough to know what they do and don't like. I haven't seen Chocolat or The Bourne Ultimatum, but guess what? I don't like Chocolat, I'll never like Chocolat, I'm not voting for Chocolat. Simple as that. There's also the fact that people who gaven't seen a movie can vote on their desire to see it. I haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth yet, but I want to see it enough and have seen enough in trailers and previews and heard enough to know I'll probably like it more than A Night at the Museum.

And yes, I'd like people who are informed of the presidential candidates voting, not just voting for the guy who is black just because he is black or the woman just because it's a woman candidate, who the **** wants people voting like that? Apparently you do.
WOW, you're a genius. Would you rather everyone just vote for a politician because the say they are against abortion or for capital punishment, because we all know everything a politician says is honest and truthfull and worth gold.

All I think is that people should have seen both movies in the match up to vote, I don't see how that is illogical or even a lot to ask. Put away the superhero bias for a minute and don't automatically vote Batman or Superman just because it's Batman or Superman.
Yes, and it's fairly obvious that is all you think. You're probably in favor of not letting people vote unless they watch a certain amount of debate hours each election year and have it documented by a monitoring city official. Do you miss your mommy's attention? Most people vote Batman or Superman because maybe they like it.

Look, you get one vote per contest and that's it. It counts no more or less than anyone elses. Quit crying because you lost and get over it. Some of my favorites lost too, you don't see me trying to rig it or change the results.

Whoever wins, wins. And that movie will be the best movie of the 21st century as far as I'm concerned. I don't care who it is. I am confident enough in this system and method that I will DEFINITELY and CONCRETELY know what is the movie to measue any movies from this point forward up aganist.

Really? That's your counterargument?
Yes, that's part of it. That statement is true, hence making the statement I am countering(Jerry!'s statement) not true.

What?

It matters how someone draws their own opinions? Is Jerry! God now?

What?

What is false about that statement?

I actually had to re-read that post because I just wanted to make sure you actually wrote that. You're a joke. I don't even need an argument. Your last post made my argument for me.

I'll take that intelligent response as a victory for me. Now run along and go cry to the admins.

I'm not mad about the movies I like not winning. i'm just having trouble undderstanding where's a limit. If there's a first to 8 vote winner, why do all those other rules matter? First to 8 means first to 8. Winning by two shouldn't matter or whatever all the other rules you have shouldn't matter either. Many of these contests went past 8 votes, why?

He's making it up as he goes. There were no "unpublished rules" when this first began, if there was, he would have posted them or should have posted them in the very beginning of this.

There is a first to 8 rule IF...

The winning by two is an important rule because it allows room for error. That is also the advantage to letting contest go longer than they should. More votes from more different people = more accuracy. Most are going past 8 now because they are still too close to call.

Basically, the golden rule of this tournament is:
I have to be thoroughly convinced, or as well as can be expected, that the winner is clear. Since I am the governing body, I can do this. Eight votes is not convincing enough anymore unless it's 8-1 or 8-2.

Hmm, I see.
