YOUR all time FAVORITE movie....

Well, if you want to make a point out of it, it would be that my post was just a constructive as your silly bickering.

Star Wars Episode V-The Empire Strikes Back
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Batman 89 sucked..back when I saw it in the theater I thought it was good, now i look back and it sucks. They didn't capture the whole "Batman persona"
They captured the Batman person as well as any interpretation of the character has.

They portrayed Batman as an mythical recluse, obsessive and intelligent, cunning and with enough internal fire that he could scare you just by looking at you. Without even saying a word.

That's Batman.

What B89 did miss out on was the Bruce Wayne persona. It decided to ignore the faux-debonair playboy persona that he crafts in pubic. An unfortunate omission, but, it is a faux personality, so we really didn't miss out on any major area of Bruce Wayne's psyche.

Besides that, the quality of a film isn't defined simply by how accurately it's adapted from comics. A good movie is about acting, and directing, and writing, and visuals, if you think B89 sucked in all of those areas fine, but don't say it sucked just because it missed fleshing out a single aspect of a very multifaceted character.

My hat off to you. So few Batman fans (or just comic fans in general) have this common sense. Instead, they want to hold on to previous versions claiming that they are ''definitive''. But with a character that exists since the 40's there is no such thing. Every new Batman comic issue, cartoon episode or movie has the possibilty to enrich the Batman Mythos. Seeing the same thing time after time, after time will get boring too. Alot of people don't seem to realise that. The backlash against All Star Batman and TDK's Perma-white Joker proves that.

Quoted for truth.
