Granted, I don't mind Mendes at all as a person...she's not drop dead A-list gorgeous, more like "I'd see her type walking down the street and be like, hey, she's kinda attractive." Though it's obvious she was brought on board to show off the goods, that's it. Roxanne had no other reason to be there but to say, "look at my boobs, look at my curvy ass, etc." Though they did allow her character to be just as goofy as the rest of them, so she wasn't exactly the straight man/woman in this. The magic 8-ball, the constant glasses of wine, and so on.

In Eva's case, gaining weight for a role is awesome. She definitely packs on the pounds in the right spots.

“I actually had to gain about ten pounds,” she reveals, explaining that since she was the only female featured in the film, she had to be an uber woman, in keeping with the comic book theme, and her feminine curves had to be played up. “When I gain weight, it goes to what I call the ‘fun areas.’ You know the fun areas – I don’t need to point them out. But once I gain the ten pounds, I need to stop, because they start spreading to other areas. It's strange that her performance wasn't better. She studied with Ivana Chubbock, who's a very well respected coach and has taught some pretty big names, including Brad Pitt and Halle Berry.
