I don't think there's any talk of him actually being in the movie, just directing.

Atleast that's how I understand it.

But yeah, it'd be awesome.

It's hard to overlook his behavior in recent years, but the man is a great director. I'm more excited about Wesley Snipes being on board, though.

I could care less about the mans personal life, I like him for his talents and they are amazing to say the least. I would be even more excited about the 3rd film if they get Mel than the previous two installments, which I loved.

If I skipped the movies of everyone in Hollywood whose behavior and views I found I disgusting, I'd barely see any movies.

And if we where to crucify everyone who said stupid stuff while simultaneously drunk and heartbroken, there'd be no one left.

I don't see how Wesley Snipes isn't the bad guy. He should second billing after Stallone.

Because he'd want a steady pay check and being a good guy is a better guarantee of that.

Even though as an example Snipes played a pretty badass villain Simon Phoenix in Demolition Man against Sly.

holly s... i forgot about Demolition man. i need to watch it this week

Simon Phoenix was boss and yeah Ex 3 needs Snipes.

No Mel Gibson and now no John Woo. :csad:

New blood? Gianakin or Doctor Jones are directing EX3!

Sylvester Stallone ‏@TheSlyStallone 1h

Found an EXCITING director... Things sometimes happen for a Reason....Okay?

You will never guess....NEW BLOOD, right?

My best PURE ACTION FILM-The last RAMBO- I want this one too top it and I believe it will with NEW BLOOD...

The bolded new blood has be trying to think of recent action films with blood in the title.

Blood of Redepmtion - Giorgio Serafini (Starring Dolph Lundgren) and Blood & Bone - Mike Ramsey (Starring Michael Jai White) come to mind. The second one is a particularly well directed film.

Since unconfirmed rumours have Joe Taslim in the film. Some are speculating Gareth Evans may be the director.

Well that's a disappointing pick. So much for Mel.

I wouldn't say dissapointing at all, this guys a hungry new director on the scene and he has a lot to prove, this may be better than we think.

I'm a little bit concerned about a (relative) newbie directing.

I'm a little bit concerned about a (relative) newbie directing.

I'm sure the studios in the mid 70's were concerned with George Lucas with Star Wars and Steven Speilberg with Jaws because they were newbies and look how that turned out.

My point is this guy might come through and deliver an amazing film.

Plus, an established director doesn't automatically mean the film will be good. Go ask Ridley Scott and Francis Ford Coppola.

It's a let down compared to Mel Gibson and John Woo. But I'm very intrigued.

Why didn't Stallone continue to direct the films himself?

Because he nearly died making the first.

I'm actually glad Stallone didn't direct after the first one...I hated it. Loved the crap out of 2, though.

Stallone is a great director but the guy is no spring chicken and it's tough at that age to direct and star as the main character in an over the top action flick.

I haven't been keeping much track of this(I should&want to though)..Snipes will be in the film?

Who's this new director?,Was Red Hill action film?
