Do you like Facebook's constant upgrades?

  • Yes! The more the better!

  • No! It's getting ridiculous!

I don't get many application requests anymore, except for one person sending me the most random stuff all the time. I hate people's profiles that you have to scroll down forever.

Stupid FB, and it's too personal settings. I do not need to know whether or not my friend adjusted his seat whilst being logged in.

it'snot so much facebook i'm worried about, rather all these online recruitment companies for jobs.

these days you pretty much have to put your whole life history down.

name
address
full name
phone number
date of birth

some want drivers licence info, some want national security numbers. One agency asked for birth certificat and passport details as well...

What's to stop a bogus recruitment website advertising for some fantastic job and just stealing people's details left right and centre.

I mean you don't need that much else to apply for a credit card in your name

.....And i realised i dont know that many people i know people on there that have like 300 friends, okay so they may mot be friends in the stricktest sense of the word but its better than the amount i have.....

wait for it,

A full 14, fourteen and now i'm scraping the barrel so much i'm looking up people with famous names, Gary Coleman, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale & Shakira.

On a basic level maybe i'm just not that popular, i can live with that but what if only 14 people turn up at my funeral? actually make that 16 adding my 2 children, feck if my future mother in law was on there i'd add her.

Anyone on here wanna be my friend? oh go on, you know it was worth a try.:csad:

I don't count how many I got on mine, but I do hate how personal Facebook is. The layout also, is pretty awful...but I find myself on there more than I should be :(

Yeah i joined a few days ago, i hate the layout. its a mess. but i too find myself on there more than i should.

Obviously. Because without them, I so would've found old friends!

I actually KNOW all of my facebook friends, and have been Friends with them before adding them to facebook.

Yeah, half

I still knoe MOST of them :cwink:, not my fault I have fans :word:
haha that's cool I guess! Also he could techniqually say that he met them if they were at a concert right? So I guess it works out. Also, I think you should write a song for superherohype.com like a theme song!

Yeah, you go do your thing BatSpider. :word:

I'm an introverted hermit, so I have less than 10 friends I actually keep in regular contact with. I have friends on Facebook where it's like, "Gee, I haven't talked to them since graduation.." but it's still fun seeing where they are and such.

Some people like to friend everyone they've ever met, which is why my sister has 800+ Facebook friends. :oldrazz: It's just a different way of doing things. In college apparently Facebook is REALLY helpful in promoting events and parties. Instead of having to make posters and flyers, all you gotta do is make an event in Facebook and invite people through Facebook.

Facebook >>>>> MySpace, BTW. At least you can't mess with the layout colors in Facebook. People on MySpace have no taste. I've seen yellow lettering on a hot pink background. :o

I don't do the weird things like vampires and zombies and stuff. That started getting into wannabe-MySpace territory. And I also make sure I log myself off every time, since it's been starting to connect websites and I don't want people to know what I've bought off Amazon or queued on Blockbuster/Netflix, etc etc. That's just too weird.

I have facebook but i never get on there. I also get bombarded with surveys and other things I dont understand .

Don't feel bad. Usually people with like 300 friends don't actually know all of them lol. They just add random people they had a 3 second convo with and never see again. It feeds the need to look popular.

Yeah, at least at my college, it's the main way people plan events. And not just parties or concerts or whatever, even mundane stuff like club meetings and study sessions and lectures show up on Facebook.
