I didn't know if I should create a thread for this, since it is a cancelled game and maybe it's been posted already (I didn't find anything), but whatever :o

Early gameplay footage

This is early game footage from the cancelled Flash video game. When our publisher Brash folded we were about 6 months into full production with about a year still to go on the game so please excuse the roughness of how it looks at this stage. A lot of the core elements were just starting to surface and we were all really saddened that the game couldn't be saved. It was showing much potential. As such we just wanted to share a sample of what the game could have been like. Enjoy

*Sobs* Why does my favorite DC character always get things (outside the comics) cancelled? First the movie & now this possibly amazing game. :(

honestly that could of really turned out

I heard of this game a long time ago but decided not to post it since it was already canceled but now that it has been posted here is some menu art and storyboards from the game. I really hope WB gives it another chance.

Ugh... F*** WB/DC & ther Batman/Superman superiority.

Looks like Superman Returns with a splash of Flash Paint on top of it...

this has to be the worst way to find out this game was being made. I didn't know this was happening and how do we find out? it's by it being Cancelled. wow.

that game looks like a very bad version of a 3rd person Mirror's Edge

Dude this sucks,:( I didn't know about the game and to find out like this BLOWS!!!:argh: It looks awesome too, which makes it even harder to take!!!:( my four favorite characters from DC are Bats, Supes, Wonder Babe, and The Flash, so this hurts ALLOT!!!:wall: Thanks for the vid though it rocked!!!:O *runs off sobbing*:waa:

I thought the same, altho im sure that cityscape was just place holder. I doubt it was going to end up looking as bland as Mirrors Edge.

Awww. That looked really fun. And it already looked like it had better running than the last Sonic game.

It was a third of the way in production, but it looked kind of cool. I can see the ME comparison as well. I loved The Flash TV show theme song in the video. Nice touch.

Yeah, that was awesome. But, really what's WB's problem? They have all of these characters & they only focus on Bats/Supes. Marvel's using different characters & it's working out pretty well for them.

Why the hell are you guys blaming wb,the publisher folded, the ones who give them money to make the game, yeah they close.

he's not blaming the WB for this game getting cancelled; its more about the companies' handle on the DU in general. There really havent been too many DC games over the years and the ones that there have been have for the most part sucked. The DC numbers pale in comparision to the amount of Marvel iscensed games which have been released. Some crap, but also alot od really good games in the mix

That looks like it could have been really good with that year longer of production time. God damn.

Looks like Superman Returns with a splash of Flash Paint on top of it...

I thought it looked like Spider-Man with some Flash paint over it, especally with those leaps..

Still looks kinda cool though. But I imagine like the Superman Returns game & the flying, once you run as fast as you can through the city a few times it would lose its appeal..

I always thought if they ever did a Flash game having bullet time (something similar to Max Payne for those that have played it) would be a must, but at the same time you'd need to stick in a few foes that can actually give a better fight at such a speed..

Pity we'll never know about this game though ^^

Aw, that footage showed a lot of promise. This could've been a fun game. :csad:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that would would have been so easy! Professor Zoom, Savitar, Inertia... Maybe the plot could have been a super-speed villain finding a way to give ordinary thugs the Speed Force? And then all the sub-missions you could have with the Rogues, this game could have been great! *sigh* No love for my favorite DC character :(.

Well the storyboards I posted earlier featured Cadmus agents and the menu screens showed Captain Cold.

The combat system looked great and intriquing. =O The running part was pretty much what i've seen from Sonic games, which doesn't make it a bad thing at all. :( Shame it got canceled. :(

Yeah, it looks like part Spider-Man, part racing game. Good combination for the Flash.

WBIE could have picked up development after Brash folded. And it's not like they have some crappy developers either. Midway is developing Mortal Kombat 9 and Surreal Software is developing This Is Vegas, and like always TT Games is developing LEGO games. Monolith, Snowblind, and WB Games are open to new projects, or they could just hand it over to another developer.

I saw :(. Has Captain Cold been in a game yet, at all? Have any of the Rogues?
