lol...yes the DARKSIDE!!!! I have joined the sith army...noooooooo!

But seriously, how many Blu-ray's do you have so far? I think we will have a race. :p

But yeah, I was thinking since everything is Blu-ray and will continue to be Blu, I'd just go ahead and switch everything over. I just wish some of the HD DVD's I had would be on Blu-ray so I wouldn't have to wait but what can a guy do.

180 Blu-ray's with 5 pre-ordered. I have been calming down alot with my spending though this year I really am just waiting for amazing deals. I use to jump on any deal under $20 but now I usually won't even consider buying unless its $15 or less. So my spending has been cut down but I think its possible for me to still hit 200 before the end of the month.

Ah, you will hit 200 before I then, only 128 Blu-ray's here. lol.

I'd be real close myself if I would ever get around to actually sending in my Red-to-Blue thingy...

Perhaps someone here could answer this question...

I just bought a new 1080p 22" widescreen tv & recently when I am watching a Blu-Ray movie on it I notice a faint horizontal line or streak that shows up through the film & I don't know what could be the cause of it. It looks like a defect in the film like the film had been cut down the middle horizontally & spliced back together & just leaves a very faint but still visible line in the middle of the screen. Since the problem doesn't seem to occur with the 720P or 1080I signals I don't consider my tv to be defective at this time, so I don't know what could be the cause of the problem. Is it possible to have a bad line of resolution that may not be picked up by the other signals? I got a free HDMI cable with the tv but I have no idea what brand it is but if the problem was in the cable itself wouldn't all the other signals have the same horizontal line running through the screen?

Is your tv one of those kinds where you can show two different feeds at the same time? I used to work at Circuit City, and there were some TVs with that capability, and it would be used a lot to show off the difference in resolutions. You could use it so one half shows, say 480i resolution and the other side shows 1080p.

I have no idea if that's anything like what's happening on yours, but that's just the first thing that came to my mind when you mention that. Sounds like the kinda split-screen capability some newer tvs have.

I really wish WB would do individual Blu-ray releases for the sequels in their franchises. Dirty Harry, The Matrix, the Burton-Schumacher Batmans, only the first ones are available individually in the States and I hate it. Anyone think we'll eventually see individual releases?

Guess is as good as mine. But you could always import. I know in the UK they sell the Batman movies individually.

Just a quick question guys. Does the Batman Anthology blu-ray set have those 50 pages that come with Batman '89's individual blu-ray release?

Yeah WB really doesn't do a good job with these set releases. They seem to be forcing people to buy something they don't want somehow. I think another odd choice they made was giving Batman a digital copy but the sequels no digital copy provided. They need to get their act together. I appreciate them being very aggressive with their catalog releases but I think they would be better off just giving people what they want instead of trying to force their consumers into awkward buying decisions.

Well the digibook is packaging that is a different thing. You either like it or don't but you still get the movie you want. I am talking about making people buy other movies just to get the ones they want which is lame.

Samsung does, too. My TV is a 22" and it supports full 1080p

What is the Hz on your tv 60Hz or higher? Do you watch your Blu-Ray movies on it or ever experienced any screen tearing during a game or Blu-Ray movie in the 1080p mode? Apparently my problem lies in the Hz being that 60Hz is not fully capable or fast enough for the 24fps that is output from a Blu-Ray although the tv says that it is Full HD 1080p. At least I can still enjoy my Blu-Rays with the second best resolution my tv supports 1080i.

Demand for Comic-Con Exclusive Dollhouse Blu-ray Overwhelms Fox Servers
As we reported earlier, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment developed a special Comic-Con Exclusive version of Joss Whedon's 'Dollhouse: Season One' Blu-ray release limited to 2,500 hand-numbered copies. Pre-sale of the Blu-ray discs began yesterday at 10am PST, and demand was so high that it overwhelmed Fox's servers and caused the site to crash.

Hey guys, I was just curious on what your home theater setups were? Just doing some preliminary research since I will be moving in a year and will finally have the space to actually have a home theater setup. Can't go to specifics on what size room it is, since I don't live in my future place yet. I'm sure it won't be a large room, decent size maybe. I got a PS3 for blu-ray and the Samsung LN40A650A. Thanks guys.

Good start with the Blu-ray player and television, I'm actually in the process of moving my personal home theatre from my bedroom to the basement which I refinished. Tomorrow the TV stand comes in, so I can finally move all my equipment. I have a 7.1 surround sound system from Onkyo, 7.1 is great but in many instances so is 5.1 and not all movies get the extra speakers anyway, so it's not completely necessary.

Nothing really. just a cheap 19 inch from Walmart and a PS3.

I'm not sure about the Hz limit to be honest, how would I go about checking that? However, I can say that I've had no screen tearing during a Blu-ray flick or game that was displaying in 1080p. At least none that was noticeable to me
