99% of the time when something just goes up for pre-order on Amazon.com it drops in price at some point the closer it gets to its release date. Just have to keep your eyes open because it may have an incredible price drop but may only be temporary. Like the X-Men trilogy for example. It is around $55.99 when it first went up and still is. But there was a 24 price drop down to $48.49 which I was able to get because I kept my eyes on it.

I missed the Amazon deal on the X-Men Trilogy but I should still be able to get it for 45 bucks plus tax at Best Buy with the Papa John's coupon. Can't wait to watch them all back to back...although I have said that about 80% of the movies I have and I have yet to do that.

Just do what I do: Pre-order something from Amazon that you think you might want as soon as you can. That way, if the price drops at all for even 2 minutes, you'll end up getting it for whatever the lowest price point ever was from the point you put in the preorder to the moment it ships! No need to keep an eye on the prices at all! If you decide that you don't want it when it's about time to ship...just cancel the order! :)

Actually some of the time when those short lived price drops happen even if I have a pre-order Amazon doesn't just give me the price drop automatically. I always contact them just to be safe.

Will Smith is one of those underrated actors.

Actually I think the opposite. Is he good actor? Sure hes decent I mean hes not embarrassingly bad. But most of his movies I hate or only have a small liking for (probably because of the other actors.) He is overpaid and overrated. Everytime I watch a movie my mind sees Will Smith not his character.

Should be a good day today. I got the X-Men trilogy, The Wrestler, Sin City, Crank, The Descent, and 300 coming in today. I love getting things in the mail.

If you don't like The Wrestler or Sin City I will buy them off of you. :cmad:

I wonder whether Season 2 will have as many commentaries on it as the first one. 23 for 13 episodes, wow.

Wow, Sin City looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. Definitely demo disc material.

I was surprised to see my preorder drop down to $48.99 but I definetly am not complaining. Amazon shipping is weird. Last week it said it would ship on the 27th and would arive on the week of May 4th, but mine shipped today with an estimated delivery of the 24th

For only $4.95 per title + $6.95 per order you can exchange up to 25 HD DVDs for "new industry-leading Blu-ray Discs." And you don't even need to send the discs or cases - only the sleeves! Plus you get a $15 off coupon for a purchase of $50 or more at wbshop.

Heads up guys. According to different people at hometheaterforum, Best Buy's supply of the X-Men Trilogy box sets doesn't have the free ticket for Wolverine.

I am going to check it out when I get home. I know I have a few WB HD-DVD's to exchange. Hopefully other studios do the same thing.

Hmm. This is interesting. I have quite a few WB HD-DVD's that I don't mind exchanging for Blu-ray's. I'll have to think about this. Thanks for posting!

Well look closely. They aren't asking you to exchange the movies just the covers so you actually get to keep the cases and the discs...haha. :cwink:

lol...that makes no sense. But, actually kind of cool that I would have a back up if needed. I wish I could find like a bunch of covers that nobody wanted so I could get some movies I didn't have for 5 bucks. haha.

Yeah well you could just Ebay the HD DVD versions once you get the Blu versions. Also don't forget that they are also giving you a $15 off coupon with an order of over $50 at their store as well.

I'm actually thinking they may send back the covers, as they just need them to get the right Blu-ray's and to make sure you own the HD-DVD's. It will be interesting to see if they do send them back within the packaging, that would be good if they did.

Well just give their customer service an e-mail or call maybe they can clarify it for ya.
