Is that Ghostbusters thing a mistake or something? Because they won't even let me preorder it.

Uh-oh yeah it looks like Amazon might have put a stop to the pre-orders already it looks like they were getting overloaded.

Any word on a Transformers blu-ray special edition or extended cut coming out before the sequel?

Ok well they put the Ghostbusters preorder back up and I was able to use the SONY coupon but not the GHOSTBLU one. Unless I'm doing it wrong. Oh well, it's better than nothing.

Yeah it looks like it was a mistake. But $5 off is still decent. They haven't canceled my order though and I hope they don't.

Is there rumors of one?

Back in late 2008 it was rumored that they would release an extended cut in time for the second release but we haven't heard anything. So if they do do it it will be when Revenge hits DVD/Blu-ray.

* Behind the Curtain, A 52-page, coffee-table book
* Reproduction of the original 1939 campaign book

The following is some additional information about the new special features developed specifically for this release as well as details regarding some of the collectibles:

* The Dreamer of Oz – which makes its long-awaited home video debut. Also remastered the occasion, this full-length motion picture was an NBC-TV special event in 1990 and thrilled critics and audiences as it told the back story of author L. Frank Baum, "the Royal Historian of Oz.” John Ritter shines in the title role -- the man who defied all odds to create the famous characters and stories. Annette O'Toole beautifully co-stars as his supportive wife, with Rue McClanahan as his challenging witch of a mother-in-law.
* Victor Fleming, Master Craftsman -- a new feature-length documentary produced specifically for this release about the Hollywood director who, in the same year, miraculously brought both Oz and Gone With the Wind to the screen.
* Hollywood Celebrates It's Biggest Little Stars-- a new featurette stars seven of the original "Munchkins of Oz" and tells the saga of the long journey, culminating in them receiving their own 2007 Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
* The Magic Cloak of Oz -- the first release of the complete 1914 silent film, including lost footage never before included in a home video presentation of this feature (produced by Baum himself).
* The Patchwork Girl of Oz -- another 1914 Baum-produced, feature-length silent film, new to Warner Home Video.
* The Wizard of Oz Sing-Along Track -- here making its home entertainment debut.
* Reproductions of Archival Material -- Extraordinary renderings of the original 1939 Oz campaign, exploitation, and press books. These materials constitute a Hollywood "holy grail" for Oz, Garland, and motion picture fans alike and, for decades, have been among the most sought-after and impossible-to-find collectibles.
* Behind The Curtain -- a 52-page miniature coffee-table book, assembled by pre-eminent Oz historian John Fricke. Encompassing much previously unpublished material, the deluxe volume includes behind-the-scenes Oz photographs, studio memos, and script pages for abandoned scenes and musical numbers.
* Exclusive Wizard of Oz Watch -- A collectible and numbered 70th Anniversary watch, incorporating art from the film and enhanced with genuine crystals. Available nowhere else, this beautiful timepiece was created specially for this DVD edition.

No, your calendar is correct. While the deal reminds us of a certain Friday in November of which the color black is usually associated with, this deal is in celebration of Father's Day. Beginning this Sunday, June 14th, Walmart will offer the Magnavox NB500MGX Blu-ray Disc player for an astonishingly low $128.

And to help dad kick off his high definition collection, Walmart will offer two Paramount Blu-ray 2 for $20 packs. One pack will consist of 'Shooter' and 'The Italian Job' while the other will feature 'Face Off' and 'Next'.

The sale ends July 20th, or while supplies last, so make sure you show up at your local Walmart early to get in on these deals.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Sneak Peek via Blu-ray and DVD

Paramount is leveraging the theatrical release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by issuing new bonus features for the original film including never-before-seen deleted scenes, as well as a pair of exclusive sneak peeks at the sequel.

Beginning on June 16, anyone who purchases the original Transformers on DVD in a specially marked packaged for the sneak peek, or anyone who previously owns or purchases the Blu-ray Disc edition, will have access to all the new material.

DVD owners will be required to log into a secure microsite using an access key included with the DVD. Blu-ray owners will be able to download the new Transformers features and Revenge of the Fallen sneak peeks via BD-Live.

Here is a closer look at the new bonus features totaling approximately 25 minutes.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Sneak Peek — Footage from the new film
From the set of Revenge of the Fallen: Day 1 — An exclusive inside look at the first day of shooting
From the set of Revenge of the Fallen: A Day in the Shade —A comical look at the differences between Megan and Shia's on-set treatment
Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes from Transformers
Fly on the Set: Pentagon — On the set filming of the Pentagon Military Command Center
Music and Mayhem — Renowned special effects house ILM deconstructs the blockbuster action of Transformers
Metal in Motion — Special effects tests and early robot animation
Stunts 101 — An in-depth look at the amazing stunts in Transformers
Choose Your Weapon —A fly on the wall glimpse into the selection of weapons and how they were used by the film's soldiers
The Man in the Ice — From design to production, watch the Arctic come to life on various sets in Los Angeles, California
Voices — The voices behind the Autobots and Decepticons
Audition Tapes: Megan Fox — Megan's original Transformers audition
Unfortunately there is no indication of what the new Revenge of the Fallen footage will entail. Hopefully it isn't the German footage currently making the rounds.

For what it's worth, I went to MovieStop yesterday and the girl was asking me if I wanted to reserve any movies and said the release date for Transformers II on Blu-ray/DVD was October 13th. Seems like a fast turn around. I wonder if that date will stick.

Looks like that solves the question of the extended cut...there won't be one. Looks like they opted to just release the extra content they had onto BD-Live which makes more sense.

For the next 3 hours in Amazon Gold Box...

Hitman/Street Kings/Man On Fire - $30.99

For the next 4 hours on Amazon Gold Box...

The Day After Tomorrow/I, Robot/The Terminator - $28.95
