I doubt it. She's probably the Big Bad, in the sense of being the possessed host of the Beast or whatever evil demon/dark god thing the Hand worship.

stick said in the teaser "the four of you can't even save yourselves" which implies that it'll just be a team of 4. unless that statement is what gets any one of them to realize they'll need more help & will call in hellcat, gladiator, and whoever else that can help

that's the most likely scenario, but i would like if they added their own personal sidekicks i.e hellcat and gladiator. they may not have had their own series but they were important supporting characters, just like hawkeye, black widow, and the maximoff twins were in the films.

I'm pretty sure that at the very least Misty and Colleen will be recruited and that Punisher is also going to have his own agenda. I can see the Defenders going against Stick's advice and choosing to save Elektra and Stick taking Punisher on as a new apprentice because he's willing to kill her.

I can't see Stick and Punisher having anything to do with each other. The *only* thing they have in common is a willingness to use deadly force.

I suspect the way for them to do more than "save themselves" is less about bringing in more allies, and more about learning to work together as a team. Leverage their strengths, cover their weaknesses, that kind of thing.

In the comics? Danny, by a few thousand miles. In the show? Who knows, though I hope Danny is notably better.

Danny is better than Matt.

Villains are generally lucky if they can land a punch on Iron Fist. Daredevil takes a bit of a a beating when he fights. Matt is a bit more of brawler like his old man at times.

I think Matt should improve as fighter now since he is back training with Stick again

Or less poetically, Danny Rand is a overall physical peer of Spider-man, from his mystic kung fu training. Add to that his Iron Fist suite of superpowers, and yeah. You end up with someone who is waay out of Matt's league.

I'm hoping the show keeps at least some of this.

I really hope to see Punisher round out the team. I think it would be foolish to not have him there. He kinda provides an archetype the team would be missing (dark and angry begrudging hero) akin to Hulk/Drax.

Plus, without Frank, Daredevil is the only reason this team couldnt just be called "Heroes for Hire" and to me thats an awkward dilemma.

Well Jessica Jones has never been a part of the Hero for Hire team in the books, so there's another reason...

I don't think Punisher will be part of the main team. He'll probably show up and assist them, but Punisher is not a team player nor is he someone people want to actively work with. I think they'd all be repelled by extreme methods, despite the range of effectiveness.

Luke Cage is generally anti-guns/murder in the comics so I think he would have strong objection the Punisher being on the team.

Frank will probably be a wildcard/temporary ally like he was in Daredevil. The Punisher is not a team player usually.

Misty Knight and Colleen Wing will likely serve as the Black Widow and Hawkeye of the team. Punisher will probably make an appearance, but I highly doubt he'll be on the team itself. And I suspect Elektra will serve as an antagonist.

Because people love him and are impatient for his series. I don't think he's necessary though. Lets give the 4 heroes their time to shine and Elektra some more love.

I guess it just depends on your perspective. Matt has enhanced senses, but Frank Castle is willing to do whatever it takes. Meaning he will kill you. Matt refuses to kill, so he won't bring a gun to a fight.

See, I think both Wing and Knight have more place as Defenders secondary characters than Punisher, and not just because of the make up of certain teams in the comics. Punisher is defined by his very Anti nature. Anti-hero, anti-partnjer, actually comes off as something of an anti-Villian in his pre-trial DD appearances. I agree that, honestly, I can't find a vital need for him to appear in the series at all save, "well he's super popular with fans" and I'd prefer they not resort to such cameos with their first team up series. On the other hand, what little we know about Misty gives her a far more natural placement among the heroes. Coleen takes a bit more guesswork since we haven't gotten as clear a description of her role, but at the moment I'm leaning towards her being a rather more friendlier ally towards Danny than Frank, Elektra, or even Misty seems to be, and that alone leaves her in a good place to help out if Danny is in trouble.

I'm sure we will get Misty and Colleen in the series but not as a part of this group, maybe have them go off together for something but we don't really see it and I also see this as the place where we see Hellcat finally suit up...but thats at the very very end after everything is said and done "Well I've had this made so I don't have to just stand by next time."
