Yes I can...computer is still an instrument like a drum set. You still have to put it together with tape or a flash disk. Music changes even Stevie used a drum machine and keyboard.

But Stevie didn't totally rely on the drum machine. And a keyboard is just an electric piano, right?

Take Usher's hit "Yeah", created by Lil John..... the same insipid, annoying computer beat thru the whole song. No changes in melody ...nothing.....

Believe me......classics willl still be played 40 years from when they were made. I don't think you'll see a Lil john Revue 40 years from now, like you see the Ohio Players doing.

You neva can tell...one man's noise is another man's classic...

Knight......I was up at 3 am in my city and was up channel surfing. I stumbled unto Soul Train.

It was "Best Of" repeat from the 70's!! It was off the hook. I think they may be doing this for a while.

Major Harris
Blue Magic
and Sister Sledge

were the acts...... figured you could appreciate this. :cwink:

Here something for ya... Sister Sledge's "He's the greatest dancer." was going to be a Chic song. But Nile decide to have SS sing it.

A great move by ! This was a "pre- Nile Rogers" cut they sang. They were reeeeaallll young. The lead singer looked like she was 16. :yay:

Listnin to a little bit of lousianna red myself, some great stuff there, old school blues, although his actual name, iverson minter, leaves a lot to be desired, lol

Yes it does...I have a lil bit of his music...not to shabby.

So.....does anyone else like Brian McKnight's latest album "Ten"?

Does anyone know who does that really cool R & B version of Louie Louie? The one where the guy just speaks the bassline?

His first album was great...

Agreed. I also love his second album. My favorite of his was "Back At One". I tired of him constantly having hiphop guests on his albums and doing lame hiphop/R&B songs on otherwise great albums (i.e. "Anytime").
