This has been one of the worst things I have ever seen. :funny:

^ it really has. The musical performances too have just been, wow.

Still haven't fixed the giant guns. Also, why are there humans?

Oh my God, it looks like they fixed the combat.

Its got some Vanquish to it.

And you can generate a chest high wall. :lmao:

Damn, he was very serious announcing the GOTY. :funny:

Congratulations Overwatch on winning the GOTY award!

And it was Overwatch that won. The game that doesn't take itself seriously, at all.

I wanna get a screen cap of him right before he announced it. There was a side camera angle and he just looked so serious it was ridiculous. :funny:

I need this as well. And we need to make it Jokes avatar. :hehe:

Is overwatch that great? I see so much hype behind it and yet I don't get it. I haven't played the game but I have no interest. Nothing about it grabs me and makes me wanna try it.

I just got it. I really enjoy it. A very fun game, but I wouldn't have made it my GOTY.

It's incredibly addicting. I can't even describe it. I didn't think i was gonna like it at all (I'm more of a single-player, story-driven, kinda gamer) but I played it at my friends house when it first came out and I kept coming over just to play it. After two weeks I just bought it for myself. I'd at least give it a try.

Well more so does it deserve GOTY? Darth says no, what say you socool?

I haven't been keeping up with too many games this year. I loved Uncharted 4 but I'm not sure if I would give that GOTY. I've definitely sunk more hours into it than anything else this year--that's for sure.

EDIT: Deus Ex was bloody fantastic. That's my answer.

Overwatch is a very casual, easy to play, pick it up anytime kind of game. Obviously that's going to appeal to more people than something that requires skill or even a modest time commitment. It also has a nice art style. It's got a diverse cast of distinct characters. It's a very "friendly" game for lack of a better word. For example, it doesn't tell anyone their k/d ratio, it doesn't have a scoreboard, trash talk is heavily censored in text chat, etc. It's only natural a game like that would win a popularity contest.

Do I think it deserves GOTY? No. I would put Doom, Titanfall 2, Dark Souls III, and Hitman over it in that order. Having said that, I do think it's a good game though. I put several hours into it, had some fun with it and moved on. I get why so many people are so into it. It's just not really what I personally look for in a multiplayer shooter.

As far as game design goes, Overwatch is incredibly well balanced. For the fact that each character is unique and has their unique strengths. There's not a weak character in the game. That's virtually unheard of in any ensemble-driven multiplayer game. It's kind of perfect, and it's taken the public by storm in a way that most games don't.

I haven't finished DOOM yet but what I have played I love it.

thankfully I was able to just FF through those parts of the stream

Im glad they opened up with Kojima. That entire segment was really touching to me

Overwatch has basically been described as, what if Pixar made a PG-13 sci-fi FPS.

Overwatch is a solid game. I normally hate multiplayer games, but I enjoyed my time with it. There is only so many ways you can dress up capturing control points though. Full disclosure: I did not pay for my copy of the game and I was paid to play it.

Overwatch is my most played game this year, but I wouldn't have given it GOTY. That should have gone to Uncharted 4. That game blew me away. Everything from it's visuals and graphics to the storytelling was top notch.

That would've also been my GOTY at this point.
