Okay people lets here your thoughts....Rumors are that when Smallville ends it 10th season the following year CW will release their idea of its successor The Graysons. I want to know do you think it will work and if so how they will do this.

I believe this idea was scrapped a while ago, I don't think, anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this is going to happen anymore

Yup. Kryptonsite posted about it on their spin-off site back in 2008:

Don't hold your breath waiting for The Graysons to premiere - unfortunately, trade paper reports confirm rumors that the series will not come to be - before a script was even finished.
Variety reveals that Warner Bros. Pictures' Jeff Rubinov was the one to pull the plug, claiming that Rubinov initially gave his blessing but changed his mind in recent days.
"The studio has opted not to go forward with the development of 'The Graysons' at this time as the concept doesn't fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise," the studio said in a statement. "Warner Bros. Television is currently working on several replacement options for the CW."
A failure to launch for The Graysons may very well improve the chances of a Smallville Season 9 - or it could hopefully mean something even better than The Graysons should come down the pipeline. Stay tuned.

than i guess why did it make the thread again is someone in the cw camp really trying to get this going

yea it was canned ages ago and doubt we will see any batman related live action shows for a long long time.

Also, the concept was f**king ******ed anyway.

yea it was, really the only logical spin offs to do for smallville at present is either a green arrow show, or a jl(brave and the bold style) type of show.

I'd definitely be up for a brave and the bold type show utilizing the other heroes Smallville has established. Maybe make MM the main regular star of it with the other heroes rotating in and out.

yea only reason i say if it was a justice league show it would probably have to be a brave and the bold teamup type of show to keeps costs down per episode and maybe have 2-3 main cast members, and then others who pop in here and there, then a special full team up episodes. Then the ever so often solo episode.

There were issues with the Batman Embargo and Nolan as well, this series would have never seen the light of day.

Thank goodness.

Agreed, Batman has always been the main character in that universe - not Dick Grayson - so I can't imagine this would have attracted a lot of viewers.

I can't imagine how it could've worked. Who cares about Dick before he became Robin?

This is probably what we would've gotten.

haha. that comic is funny because it's true...

yea i remember seeing that comic image around the time it was canned. As for the thread here would probably be best we close it now before we waste space with it or what not. But thats up to the mods.

I think when SV is over just follow Green Arrow and the other Justice League.

Not this **** again. This was quite possibly the worst idea for a television series I've ever heard.

Ugh, I never wanted to be reminded of this crappy idea again.
