From the previous episode of Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D
Skye makes a note of mentioning that there is a lot of previous inmates that broke out......that actually has Super Powers.
Lets play the guessing game, and try and piece together who some of these men and women might be.
We already know one was
Blackout

We've seen no sign or hint of him, and OOC we know they don't have the budget for him. So, no, I am willing to bet Blonsky was at another site. Possibly a site dedicated only for him ( or perhaps other "can only be contained via cryogenic stasis" types ).

I would hope whomever escaped will show up on all the Netflix series shows, seems like a good explanation/tie in.

Paste Pot Pete.

Blonsky and the Leader would likely be in the Cube. Batroc may have been there. I was hoping for an awesome android tease among the stolen stuff...

So here are some interesting Hydra/shield enemy thoughts of where whedon and co could go:
-I think there may be some ties to the serpent society there, that would make sense.
-Cutthroat was once part of a huge prison escape... so maybe more hydra ties there
-Baron Zimo... well he has to be introduced sometime and it would make sense if shield had him in prison since ww2 and off the radar...
-Mother Night and Minister Blood--- more skull tie ins
-Mister Hyde... perfect type of one shot villain that shield would have locked up there and bonus member of MOE.
- Aim people
-Scorpio... absolute shield/fury tie ins
-Alternate failed Captian Americas... Master man... Red Guardian... or better yet The SUPER PATRIOT... a failed attempt to recreate Cap... hidden for decades by Shield... utterly mad... eventually becomes USAGENT...
-Perhaps taskmaster is there... that would be cool

I mean obviously there will be some lamer ones... the Griffin for sure, maybe Mandril... but they could do like Hectate... she was in shields lock up and that could introduce the Olympians before DC tries to... they could mesh with the Asguardians well

I recall them describing it as in Alaska. Blonsky is not in the fridge, which is good. Movie villains stay where the movie left them unless the movie chooses to do something about it.

from what Maria Hill said in tomorrow nights opener.... looks like
Man-Thing
was in the Fridge also

He's supposed to be in Cryo-Sleep somewhere off grid I think
Yup, Blonsky's being held in Alaska. The Fridge is not located in Alaska.

And I'm not even sure he was being held by SHIELD or the US military. As per The Consultant One-Shot, Blonsky was being held by the US military and not SHIELD. Though, in the interim, he might have been transferred to a SHIELD facility since Coulson threatened to transfer Ward to guard Blonsky's cryo-cell in Alaska.

May still be under military jurisdiction, but SHIELD can post agents there. Not so now of course!

Yup, that seems to be the most plausible explanation based on the current information at hand.

We also know that John Horton/Griffin was in the Fridge.

Ellen Brandt's appearance in IM3 adds more weight to that easter egg, too. Hopefully we'll see the real deal soon. I know Lionsgate *had* the rights and made a crappy made-for-Syfy TV movie back in 2005, but it's not likely that's a property that they're still holding on to.

Whatever knows fear....burns at the Man-Thing's touch. :word:

where is Gravitron being held? and has there been any clues given as to the identity of Marlee Matlin's character? they made it seem like she was playing an Iron Man villain. only one she kind of looks like is Sunset Bain.

Graviton was, and still is, inside the Gravitonium, which was in the Fridge

...(gravitonium) which is now in the possession of
Ian Quinn, given as present from Garrett - Ep18.

Yup, which means it's only a matter of time before something happens to make him break free

prediction: Quinn does his best imitation of a human pancake.

We also know that John Horton/Griffin was in the Fridge.
Nope. That was more anecdotal. Ward and Garrett were basically discussing super-powered baddies/crazies, and Garrett told Ward that (I'm paraphrasing here) he knew of some dude named Horton who had lion paws for hands. Ward then looked at him befuddled and wondered how that would even work. Then Garrett smirked and said something to the effect of: hey, whatever works.

Man-Thing though... based on Maria Hill's phone conversation, we can infer that he was in The Fridge and is now at large.

I don't think they'll follow up on either Man-Thing or Griffin though. Just seemed like pretty cool name drops.

Yeah, but didn't Garret start his anecdote by saying "I remember the first time I came to the Fridge, I was bringing in Johnny Horton..." or whatever. He implied that Horton was in the fridge at one point, at least, and is likely still there.

Hmm, I didn't quite catch that. Re-watching now.

*slips away towards trusty DVR*

You are right. Garrett said, "First time I was here was to lock up Johnny Horton..."

So yea, apologies to lozzy.94, who had it right.

Garrett said he came to the Fridge to deposit John Horton
