I'm sure the majority of people on here are to young to own any type of gun, but to those of us who are old enough where are my fellow gun owners hiding? I figure if there is enough we could come here to discuss what we own, want to own and any reviews, updates and range reports. Oh, and of course pics of the guns we do own. So, I'll kick it off. I currently own...
2 pistols ( Charles Daly 1911 clone and a Taurus 24/7 9mm)
a Colt M4 with a 37mm launcher
a Hi Point 9mm Carbine
and a Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun.

I belong to two gun ranges as well. I have my concealed carry permit and I have been requested by several people to train them on how to handle and care for pistols.

I will be picking up a GSG-5 in a couple of weeks. A GSG-5 is a .22LR caliber clone of the HK MP5 SMG. I can't afford a true 9mm MP5 as they run into the high thousands.

I will post pictures if this thread takes off.

So what is everyone else carrying?

Glad to see another Gun-owner/Comic fan, especially one from PA
Started buying only a year and a half ago, right now I have:

Glock 17 9mm
Ruger LCP .380
and a .22 Beretta Target pistol

I took a couple NRA courses, (Self-defense Pistol and Shotgun) at a club I belong to, but I dont make it out as much as I would like to.

Nice start. When I was 21 I owned a Ruger .45 and a Winchester 1500 Defender. I ended up selling them both and just about a year ago I started buying again.

PA allows civilians to own grenade launchers? Wow! And I thought Texas was loose with it's gun control.

Well the 37mm is limited on what it can fire. It can fire smoke, flares, gas (LE only) and Breakers/Super Breakers. I just recently bought a case (10) of Super Breakers for the 4th of July.

Here are some pics of my guns...

I've never been a fan of guns. They just don't interest me. My Dad had a luger from WW2 in his nightstand for all the years I was growing up. I remember thinking it was really cool because it looked like the guns in the Indiana Jones movies. ;)

I want a hand gun for the sole purpose of hiding it under my bed in case a burglar comes in one night.

Several guns here obviously (I work in LE).

Spikes Tactical AR-15 with plenty of tactiCOOL add ons
Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22
H&K USP .45 (same gun used by Tom Cruise in Collateral)
Smith and Wesson 642 with crimson trace laser grips
Kel-Tec PF9
Kel-tec P3AT
AND an issued Glock 23

and a few others that I wont mention here... :) Of course, I am always looking to buy others.

Here are some generic photos. Will post more later

wow.... that 642 looks like it'd knock a hole in someone the size of an apple

I'm too immature to own a gun. I'd want to play with it and would probably end up killing myself.

I can't believe they allow people to own some of this ****. The pistols/shoties I get, but assault rifles with launchers GTFO. I realize the majority of the people who own them wouldn't do anything bad with them, but it just seems crazy to me.

Those 37mm launchers WONT fire grenades.

depending on the state you live in and no criminal record, you can practically own anything so long as you're cool with shelling out the time and money for permits, background checks, training, etc.

I own the following:

Glock 21
Beretta 92FS
Colt 1911
Mossberg tactical (man, with the double pistol grips....thing is fun as hell to shoot)
Steyr AUG (semi-auto)

I'd love to get my hands on an M4, as well as a smaller Sig to carry, since all my pistols are friggun huge,

I don't understand that mentality. If they can handle a regular gun, why not something upgraded?

I just have an SA XD9. Nothing too fancy, but it's just for home defense.

I never said I was cool with them having any assault rifle.

Uh...yes I understood that hence the point I was making. You are fine with people owning pistols, but not assault rifles? Guns are dangerous either way. If they are mature and smart enough to handle a gun safely why can't they own an assault rifle?

I'm actually planning to buy a gun soon but I'm 20 so I have to wait a year until I can own a handgun.

I can own a long arm but I have zero experience with any gun training whatsoever.

But I'm seriously considering in buying one relatively soon (legally of course with the proper training).

Kable and Knight by the way you guys have ****ing sweet looking guns.

Its always good to have for self defense purposes.

Those pictures of the Carbine are awesome by the way.

I live in California so I wonder how hard/expensive it'll be for the whole process.

Yeah dude thats the main reason or if **** ever hits the fan I don't want any aholes looting my house or destroying what would be left of my family.

Definitely good to have for emergencies. Some people don't understand that these are tools mainly.

I definitely advise going to your local range and taking a safety and performance course before even looking at a gun to buy. They're typically very cheap and supremely informative. This way, you know what the laws are, and know how to handle a gun before owning one. Even if you know these things, its still good to go as a refresher and to see if any laws have changed (they do all the time).

I'm not sure what California's gun purchasing laws are (its usually a background check and a 3-5 day waiting period for most states), but this might help you:

http://www.handgunlaw.us/

The state I live in has no waiting period - just however long it takes for the store to call up the police to check for a criminal record (I've never waiting more than 10 minutes). There is, however, a limit to how many handguns you can purchase each month.

Oh most definitely going to take training courses before buying a gun.

Yeah I wouldn't know what to do honestly without the proper knowhow.

Thanks for the info Spider-Who. I'll defintely check it out because I'm pretty serious about this.
