The Haitian Earthquake Disaster

The fact of the matter, no one really cares about the conditions down there; otherwise, the infrastructure would have been rebuilt to modern times, long before the Earthquake. You know what I mean?

Yeah, one case was reported here too. A a 32 year old Haitian construction worker who returned Friday from a visit to Haiti. I really hope it doesnt go beyond that :csad:

Big protests in Haiti against the UN though, because supposedly UN peacekeepers from Nepal are the ones responsible for the start of the outbreak in the first place, something the UN denies, of course. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/11/18/haiti.cholera/index.html

I wouldn't be surprised if the plague broke out in Haiti. This is Haiti we're talking about here.

I think the whole situation is reaching the boiling point.

This isn't good. Will Haiti be forced to just leave, like the people just go to other islands?

Oh hell no, say it isnt so! :wow: now that`s a very scary thought. That`s not good to me either, considering i`m neighbor with Haiti. But yes, last week there were a few shakes... one even snapped me out of my sleep. I really hope another big one isnt coming to this area, but the truth is it`s a high probability for the entire island. I`ll take a gazillion hurricanes over an earthquake any day of the week :csad:

UN worries its troops caused cholera in Haiti: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/cb_haiti_origins_of_cholera
