You are entitled to your opinions but Iron Man 3 is not an embarrassing or bad movie by ANY means, weather or not you hated the Mandarin twist. Haven't seen Hangover 3 yet, but I find it hard to believe its worst than part 2. But I will see this weekend as I got plans to see this with family and friends as well as Fast 6.

In every promo I've seen for this movie, it seems like Alan's being a real D-bag to Stu.

Alan is a jerk to Stu this time around , but it's toned down from the last film.


I saw this tonight and laughed throughout. It was much better than The Hangover ll. Alan and Chow get all the funny lines though. I didn't find Chow that annoying like he was in the other installments surprisingly. I don't think they could ever replicate the first film so it's probably for the best to end it right here on a good note.

What surprised me is how touching this movie managed to be at points.

Also, the cinematography was flipping terrific.

Here's the thing, I've brought up my distaste for The Hangover franchise in the Man of Steel boards in relation to the 4th trailer for that film being attached to The Hangover 3. So I'm not really against being off topic and mentioning a film if there is an actual reason to. For instance maybe the films are in the same general genre or like myself you make a passing reference to a film in a different genre to get across your point about just not seeing a trailer on the big screen because you dislike a certain franchise. But I can't see any connection between an R rated roadtrip comedy and a Superhero film, an action adventure film. I don't know maybe The Hangover fans go off topic and talk about random films all the time, if that is how this thread opporates, I apologize for thinking that it is a pointless dig to cover up for the fact that Hangover 3 is getting lousy reviews and is putting up very disappointing box office numbers compared to the second film.

Anyway, RE: The Hangover franchise. I think it is the best example of a brilliant movie which should've been left alone. I've loved the original. LOVED IT. What makes it so great is that, despite the crazy **** that happens to the characters, it has a heart - it's a feel good movie. THe point isn't really the crazy stuff they get themselves into, it's HOW THREE COMPLETELY COMMON MEN REACT to it. That's the charm of the movie. And I can't help it, I've always got a HUGE grin all the way through the movie. Its simplicity, wonderful characters, yet intriguing and clever plotting is what makes it one of the best, if not the best comedy of the last decade.

With Part II Phillips turned everything up to the extreme. The characters basically became action heroes, and the (recycled) plot is just an excuse to show something bleaker, darker, meaner, and more vile. It's pulp territory. It's nihilistic. It's exhausting. And i am by no way one a PC person; it's just that what made the first one so good is missing here: the simplicity, the upbeat tone, the heart. And by the way, with Due Date I noticed that overall Phillips has taken a bleaker direction with his movies: I think the charm of Road Trip, Old School and the first Hangover is missing in his recent outings.

And the third one... I have still to watch it. We'll see...

i liked im3 but i know of atleast 5 people at my job you did not like it at all and they are not what i call comic book fans

so dont act like it is universally loved it's 78% on RT proves this

I know it's not universally loved but trolls are acting like its Green Lantern, Ghost Rider, X-Men Origins Wolverine bad. Iron man 3 is not a bad movie by any means, so people may not that it's great but it's definitely not horrible.

I agree RT is NOT very accurate when it comes to counting reviews as negative or positive. Some reviews for movies that are overall positive gets counted as rotten and vice versa.

I wasn't a huge fan of IM3 (and I didn't mind the twist, because I wasn't all that high on the Mandarin in the first place) but I would hardly call it a crap fest. That is reserved for GL, Ghost Rider, etc. The same people keep calling IM3 crap over and over again, in different threads, so it's kind of hard to not want to cite jealousy over how well it's doing and that it wasn't a complete disaster like they hoped.

To get back on target, I won't watch this until it comes to Redbox. Loved the 1st, the 2nd was regurgitated crap, but I doubt the third can be any worse (famous last words).

Oh, I've tried...anyway I hope the Hangover fans enjoy their last Hangover film.

Oh boy. This was painful. It's head-to-head with Live Free or Die Hard as the worst film of 2013.

I give points for Phillips from deviating from the formula of the first two, but it's simply not funny for the most part. Alan and Mr. Chow simply can't support a movie by themselves (and they're annoying as hell), and Stu and Phil play second fiddle and don't get much to do. The scenes with Alan and Melissa McCarthy's pawn shop dealer are gold, though.

But it can't redeem this steaming POS, and yes... the mid-credits scene paves the way for a fourth movie. God forbid we get another one of these.

I still have to see it and I'm super excited as I'm a big fan of the first two, but how can anyone find Alan and Chow to be the worst characters? But I guess that just shows how comedy and humor works in totally different ways for every person.

I love those two, Jeong and Galifianakis are brilliant.
