Justice League The Home Release Thread - Hopes & possible fears

We could even use the musical stuff not utilized in MOS and BvS. I did always love the second half of Zod's theme...

A "Snyder" cut is just not going to happen at this point...if this was a stand alone movie it would be possible, but being that its set in a greater movie universe, it would interfere with the canon and cause confusion. I am however 90% certain we will get an extended cut. They demanded the movie be under 2 hours...they ended up just making it by 1 minute. That tells me there was plenty of footage that would have still fit in Whedon's cut that was deleted. And if they hadn't originally planned on releasing an extended cut, I bet they will be discussing it first thing tomorrow morning. I don't think it matters much that the deleted footage wasn't scored. This can't be the first movie with an extended cut that would have to be re-scored AFTER the initial theatrical release. Didn't Howard Shore come in and do that after his initial scoring sessions for the LOTR extended cuts? And since they would need to re-score it anyways, I would much prefer if they brought Junkie in to do that, though I find that highly unlikely. But hey, that petition is gaining traction so who knows.

Hey, I mean, look, I'm never one to buy in to petitions but the one they got going is almost at 50,000. In just two days! Their goal is 100,000. If this could at least get the attention of the suits at WB they'll at least know there is a hunger for a much longer Justice League movie.

However, I think the chances of getting Junkie back are null. From the studio perspective there is no point in re-hiring the guy just to appease a small group of fans. I do hope Junkie gets to release some of the music he did for the film though, I really wanna hear what his JL theme would've sounded like. But, ultimately, its gonna be up to us dedicated fans to re-score the film ourselves.

I just want Superman on the cover with the other 5 lol. That's all I want.

Snyder's cut is a must to make money and then...WW2, recast Batman, focus on him, and then do a good MOS sequel when you have a damn good script.

There is still hope.

There's always hope. After all, Superman's alive again!

If nothing else, they'll know people are still interested in a GOOD JL film. JL2 isn't dead folks, despite what all the haters on this forum are saying. It's just taking a small nap, waiting to be revived by a motherbox.

There will be another Justice League movie one day, of course there will, but it'll have nothing to do with the universe as its been established.

With the list I have here of what was said to be cut or altered in some way, I REALLY want the extended cut. Whedon didn't do a bad job, but he was mandated by WB.

In fact, that is the biggest problem with JL: one of the credits is a lie. It should've said DIRECTED BY WARNER BROS. Because those guys did this, and these people ARE NOT FILMMAKERS. Money people, not idea people.

When fans have to piece stuff together from trailers and whatever to make a superior movie.... :(

If the Donner Cut of Superman 2 became a reality, there’s always a chance a Snyder Cut could be released. Whether we’ll be able to see it in our lifetime is a whole nother story.

That is a good point.

I'm hoping for three hours, rather than a couple of deleted scenes cut back into the movie.

Even if they only put in the deleted scenes we saw from the trailers and nothing else it would still increae the runtime by like 20 odd minutes at least.

Ughhhhhhhh!! This thread is too painful. Each time I come in here, my feeling for the movie diminishes and I greatly enjoyed it :(

which scene are you most bummed they took out? Mine has to be a tie between the league (sans Aquaman) walking up the stairs all badass with Batman leading the way and the scene where tactical suit batman pulls the lever in the flying fox and makes sparks fly... wait... three-way tie actually... I'm equally bummed they removed the scene of Bruce tossing the quindent to Arthur as they get ready for the final battle.

All thoses screenshot (apart from the scene in the labs) seems to be little things that could have stayed in the movie. They maybe wouldn't have bring much, but they are good looking and maybe it would have prevent the rushed aspect of the final product...
Also, it is very, veeery tiring to have movies being advertized on shots that don't end up in the theaters...

For me. The most disappointing thing is Superman. I want to see Snyder's ORIGINAL entrance for Superman. My favorite scene in the movie was when he handled the League like a badass and I have every reason to believe that when he entered the final battle originally under Snyder Supes was even MORE of a badass. Whedons version felt neuteured. I very very very VERY badly wanna see the original incarnation of the final battle.

The 'Silas being kidnapped by a parademon' scene was in the movie though, wasn't it?

Nope. Vic flies off abruptly during his meeting with Diana (presumably because he senses that his father is in danger), we then skip over the kidnapping and go directly to him looking out of the broken window. He then he joins Batman, Gordon and the rest, declaring that his father was taken.

Dude, I'm pretty sure that scene is in the movie. I remember seeing it for crying out loud. :funny:

He goes to the apartment, sees everything in disarray, and then the parademon pops up from behind and lunges at him.
