If you download a ultraviolet movie to a Ipad or similar device then delete the movie you need a internet connection to download it again right?

Hehe, Anne-rays. :p
Well, yeah. So what? Everyone has an Internet connection.

And if you don't, just go to one of the 5 million coffee shops that have free Wi-Fi.

Personally, for me, it's much easier to quickly connect to the Internet than have to connect my iPad to my computer. I don't even have to get out of my chair to do it.

How, because so far I would definitely put itunes digital copy over ultraviolet without the slightest hesitation. I think what i dislike most of all is having to need so many different accounts for different studios, and then different applications for them, where as for the other one all i need is itunes and my number from the bluray. And i don't need to have my movie on a bunch of different devices. I'm just fine watching my movies on my little ipod in the train or even on a plane. I mean I've been able to download some of sony's movies like Drive and ides of march onto my computer through sony pictures download manager, but even that thing acts stupid some times, and the help from ultraviolet is a complete pain. I think the biggest problem with ultraviolet for me is that it was unnecessary. I was just fine itunes. Quick download to my library, quick copy to my ipod. That's it. No need for any streaming whatsoever. No fear of buffering or anything like that. I mean I can't even log into my ultraviolet account right now. The thing locked me out for no reason and my attempts to get it back haven't worked, even after emailing these guys. Personally I've just decided to buy Dark Knight Rises on itunes, so it can go on my ipod with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I mean I have harry potter 7 part 2 on flixster and I can't play that stupid thing. Wouldn't even let me download Hangover 2.
I dunno what's going wrong for you, but it's always worked fine for me.

I watched 21 Jump Street just the other day while offline on my iPad, and I have Prometheus downloaded currently.

Because the point of a digital copy is to have it on the go when out of your house where you don't have internet access of access to a DVD/Blu Ray player.

Yes...which I just said I do all the time with ultraviolet.

What happens if UltraViolet folds up shop and disappears and their servers are thus deactivated? This stuff happens all the time in the video game industry.

The same thing that would happen if Comixology, Rhapsody, or iTunes went out of business?

In regards to Ultraviolet..

If you go Ultraviolet through Flixster you will be required to download the flixster app onto your device. (for itunes get the flixster app etc). Once you have the app on your device and/or desktop you treat it as you would itunes....the app lets you stream the movies you own or download them outright.
Once downloaded streaming will not be required...

the stink of the issue is having to make accounts for flixster and ultraviolet and having to launch their stupid app to access your movie.

Which is an ultimately inconsequential complaint, IMO.

The flixster app is no more difficult or confusing than iTunes itself.

I think we all know the answer: pay for the Ultraviolet digital, but never actually use that digital file because please, we all know where to find the one that will always work.

Ahhh, ultimately I dont think its a big deal bc the primary thing you pay for in the package is the bluray. DC is just extra. If losing it is that big a concern one for a person, just use third party sofrware like DVD shrink to make your own digital copy of the film from the included DVD which most DC included BRs seem to come with anyway. Or as mentioned, the simplest way is to just download the thing and back it up somewhere. Problem solved

All I'm ever interested in is the actual Blu ray. I never download content and a lot of the time I throw away the digital copy/DVD.

I can't even access my digital copies because they're not available for download in my country :(

Why would you throw them away? I dont use that stuff either but never throw it out.

Instead of throwing away the DVD, why not just sell it? Make some cash man, unless you're a billionaire :oldrazz:

Not everyone. And if someone lives out in the country they are kinda screwed in getting access to free Wi-Fi. I download digital copies through iTunes for my Aunt all the time now as she has a very limited internet and lives in the country but buys alot of Blu-Rays, all I do is copy the iTunes file to a flash drive and bring it over to her house and easily put it on her computer.

Ultraviolet is a pain in the butt, I've gotten more used to it and do activate the codes for movies but Itunes/Windows Media DC format is just so much easier IMO. So glad Avengers didn't use Ultraviolet, really disappointed TDKR and TASM will use UV(although I expected it through WB).

I will buy TDKR and activate the UV code, I just wish there was a option for both like Universal films are doing.

I wonder if MessenjahMatt could make logo covers for BB, TDK, and TDKR just like the previous batman blu-rays.

Awesome sauce

I'm just confused on how to do it. What kind of paper to use, what kind of settings on the printer. Know what I mean? If anyone in here has printed out Blu Ray covers, can someone please send me a PM on how to do it, please?
If you haven't already pm'd him. Would u mind posting it here. I'm sure a lot of us would luv to see it and be interested on how to make it look LEGIT

not really... I'm not trying to sound like a D-bag but apple is the largest company in the world (on and off with exxon) the chances of that are pretty slim. Also- you would still have the device with the digital copy on there in its Hard drive with no need for Internet. Whereas with ultraviolet. A cloud based Internet thing - if the cloud goes your vids go
EDIT: that wasn't the best way of conveying what I had to say but u get it :P

Not sure if it would fit here, but my trailer for the box-set:

Eh, that's still a pretty small percentage of people.

Some people don't even own computers, should they hate digital copies in general?
