I may have to sneak in a viewing of The Exorcist III (1990) this weekend. Criminally underrated.

As someone wearing an Exorcist III t-shirt right now, I agree this needs to happen.

Cannot wait for that Collector's Edition this month.

The Exorcist III is great. Brad Dourif is such an underrated actor.

You ever see the X Files episode with Dourif? He ****ing rocks it.

Not to mention he's the voice of this great character;

I cannot believe i enjoyed Curse of Chucky, its the 3rd best for me in the series.

Yeah I loved it, I think what helped was it didn't have the expectations from big studios etc that these sequels or reboots often have. I honestly think if Friday the 13th, Halloween etc got the same treatment we'd end up with a better entry. I think often limitations i.e. budget on classic horror sequels help the filmmakers make a better product.

I also enjoyed Curse a lot. My favorite films in the series in no particular order are 1, 2, Bride, Curse. Not in any particular order just the ones I enjoy the most. I probably mentioned it recently in this thread already but whatever haha.

I think you're right

It has one of the best scares I've ever seen in a movie. This spot made my skin crawl!

I loved it, too. I think they did the right thing making Chucky solo again and taking him back to his darker roots. Plus they added a bit to his back story without having to mess with the stories of the previous movies.

this was one of the only times I appreciated a horror character getting a detailed backstory. Curse of Chucky was a lot of fun.

now that's the kind of "jump scare" that I like to see. great use of music, too.

I think it also helps that Don Mancini has been there since the beginning and understands this character and why people love/hate him, as opposed to other classic horror icons that have different people working on em sometimes.

Nice list. Never heard of They're Watching. I need to finally watch Caligari in full this month. I have it on an Unspeakable Horrors set. My list is not quite there yet, fell behind thanks to work and a wicked cough that won't go away.

01. The Thing (1982)
02. Rammbock (Berlin Undead) (2010)
03. Two Thousand Maniacs! (1964)
04. 2001 Maniacs (2005)
05. Carrie (1976)
06. Demons (1986)
07. Night of the Living Dead (1990)
08. Dawn of the Dead (2004)
09. The House of the Devil (2009)
10. Paranormal Activity (2007)
11. Shin Godzilla (2016)

Probably stretching it with Shin Godzilla there, but the design was terrifying and caught you off guard a few times in the movie. So the website I'm doing this on allowed it.

Holy crap I need this... It's only at Wal-Mart though.

Why do they have to put those big ass ugly stickers that are impossible to remove on the cover?

I hate when that happens. They make these awesome slip cover cases and then the stupid stickers ruin it when you try to take them off. They should wrap the slip cover in a plastic first and then put the sticker over that.

I remember purchasing the Scream trilogy from HMV years ago and it had a big dirty sticker in the corner. I tried to remove it slowly but it still tore the cover art, to this day it still pisses me off.

Best Buy is the worst offender in my experience. I have returned movies and bought them elsewhere because of this; it drives me insane.

Even though I watch a ton of horror year round, obviously try to do a lot in October. Been so busy working though 6 days a week and all crazy hours bleh. Watching what I can when I can. Tonight's flick, one of the more recent ones that I really enjoy.

Next up. I've always loved the original Vincent Price film. But this is honestly a remake I enjoy and think is a good one. Even if it may be an unpopular opinion.
