Arent they like mutated Salmon? haha

Just watched Brian Yuzna's first film Society. Didn't think things could get weirder then From Beyond and Dagon but I was wrong hahaha. Man, that last scene was one of the strangest ****ed up things I've seen in awhile. Reminded me of the end of Slither or something in BAsket Case, but even more odd and jacked up.

Yuzna has made some crazy flicks. Still really dig Return Of The Living Dead 3.

I remember liking a B-horror movie from the 80's called The Kindred. I haven't seen that one in forever.

The 80s really brought us some crazy monster and make up design even with the low budgets. Most the stuff was just straight out werid, would be nice to have a little bit of that originality back. Miss the midnight movie feel of those films.

Anyone see VHS 2? Saw it's available to rent on demand with some services. Been getting good reviews.

Gonna have to check that one out.

Anyone remember a movie called Blood Beach? It was kind of like Tremors but came out in the late 70s or 80s.

I used to watch it on tv all the time back in the late 80s.

I think I remember seeing it available for rent at my local video store when I was a kid. I don't think I ever got around to renting it though.

I found a trailer for the one I was talking about. You pretty much summed it up perfectly.

St. Louis's Late Nite Grindhouse at the Hi Pointe Theater is playing a midnight show of the Maniac remake with Elijah Wood on July 5th and 6th. I'm pretty excited.

Last month was Re-Animator. There were many in the crowd who had never seen it. Good times were had.

Love Society, I think it's the reason I appreciated Slither.
With Dagon, all I really kept thinking was Resident Evil 4; they just seemed so much alike to me.
And of course I adore the Return of the Living Dead series, even the 4th and 5th had some redeemable factors despite ignoring the rules of the first 3 movies.

VHS 2 is worth a watch. Much better than the first.

Were there some good crowd reactions when the doctor holding his head goes down on the girl?

Wouldn't it be cool if we had all iconic actors and actresses from past horrors to star in one big movie, like the The Expendables? :)

Free idea, Hollywood!

I been working on that. Don't let Hollywood beat me to the punch. :o:csad:

However, the Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash comics can help alleviate some of that craving.

People on here have better ideas :)

It's not enough though. ..Freddy v Jason v Ash v Mia though :D

Oh. I didn't care for it enough to learn the character names, especially after that bull**** McGyver defibrilator thing. :o

You mustn't of taken notice of Jane's performance to know she would make a kick ass Harley either :o

Like I said in the other thread, she was really the only reason worth watching the Evil Dead reboot(other than the upgraded gore factor). :o

That would be fantastic. You would have to have Tom Atkins of course. :woot:

Some of these movies are lookin' good. Glad I found this thread.

My current list of movies I need to check out:

Angel Heart
Madhouse
Intruder
Silent Night, Deadly Night
The Kindred
Society
VHS 2
From Beyond (I thought I had seen this one, but I was thinking of the Lucio Fulci movie The Beyond)
Nightmare aka Nightmares In A Damaged Brain (hard to find)
Blood Rage (apparently only the unedited version is worth checking out, and that's only on VHS)

I remember him from The Fog and The Ninth Configuration ans H: III :D

Intruder

Apparently if you watch this movie you want the release from Synapse Films. They put out the directors cut with it transferred from the original work print.
