Goku disappears for 100 years, and it picks up with the 64th Tenka'ichi Budokai where Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. battle each other and continue the family rivalry. By that time, Goku is full-grown again and Pan is in her elderly years. She spots Goku at the tournament, but doesn't get a chance to talk to him before he leaves.

Actually, I've gotta say. Despite all the fecal-infested storytelling that GT is chocked full of, I really did enjoy Super 17's death scene. The Ryu-Gen, followed by a triple-header Kamehameha. It was like Piccolo Daimao all over again, only better.

Kinda weird and lame that Goku jr and Vegeta jr look like mini versions of Goku and Vegeta.

Also doesn't appear like Goku jr and Vegeta jr knew of each other prior to the tournament.
