With all the excitement brewing from the trailer, I believe there is also more questions being formed.

What are you skeptical about heading into the Thor film?
Hear are mine..
A) The drive behind the dark elves-
For me this is the most important aspect of the film. I'm really interested in the plot and I'm pretty excited about seeing how they pull it off, why they are so powerful, and if there is any deeper roots (revenge, competition) to their motives. I'm confident Marvel can pull it off.

B) Thor's power level/feats.
We've beat this horse to death the past couple of months. But I think all Thor fans are desperate to see a 'Simonson/Jason Aaron' level Thor. Thor is the most impressive hero that the MCU has to offer. Super strength? Check. Energy projection? Check. Durability? Check. How about seeing Thor really take it to the next level consistently? That's what I'm amped up to witness, Some super strength, energy projection and durability feats.

C) Human interaction with Asgard.
Asgard is supposed to be a celestial place. Not an "alien" or "extra-terrestrial" affair. We'll see how Jane reacts to Asgardians in person. We've seen a few shots, but not fully.

D) Just how powerful is Kurse? 'Nuff said.

Yeah those are my biggest questions right now, but I'm honestly at peace with my worries because of the new trailer.

Just to respond to your first question...[YT]m5e39EbGc1w[/YT]6:17 - "[Malekith] has a grudge that goes back a long, long time. When you're dealing with the Thor franchise, we have the ability to play on these science fiction concepts and these mythological concepts all at the same time. So Malekith and his race of Dark Elves honestly predate the universe. They're from an age prior to the Big Bang. They did not like the Big Bang, and they want to undo it. So their grudge goes back a ways."

For me, I hope to see Thor's character progress even further through his journey in this movie, specifically in his relationship with Midgard. I didn't buy him calling it "The World I Love" or saying the Earth was under his protection in the Avengers movie because he really didn't show that in the first Thor movie.

What I'd LOVE by the end of it to see him end up in Midgard to stay. To go with your thread title, "I am skeptical about this" last part actually happening. In order to keep the solo franchises standalone, it's probably easier for Marvel to keep Thor in Asgard until he's needed. However, I do think that they will establish a better explanation of Thor being able to travel between Realms without the Bifrost (if it is not yet repaired).

I'm confident that the movie will be at the very least good but my biggest worry is that Loki will steal the movie from Thor.

In some peophe's eyes Loki will always steal the movie because of how many different facets Loki has. Straight forward characters like Thor often don't receive such raise, but that's okay but it's still HIS movie.
