Thank you for making this, hopefully more members join in.

Go Pakistan :yay:

Yeeeeaah boy. I missed out on tickets, but hopefully something pops up last minute. Barely any games here in Adelaide, though and there were NONE for the tri-series.

Go Australia. :D

I don't follow this closely but weren't Canada, Netherlands and Norway supposed to be a part of this ?

(There were some rumors of a Chinese cricket team also ?)

Canada and Netherlands failed to qualify in the group stage for the finals, no idea about Norway and a Hong Kong side just failed to achieve qualification but gained ODI status.

Anyone else doing fantasy cricket?

My team is looking a tad weak. Had Faulkner there as the foil but he's done.

Anyway just in case anybody sees it before the world cup begins tomorrow and is interested I've set up a SHH group for the official ICC Fantasy cricket

1.) Head to https://fantasy.icc-cricket.com/homepage/homepage
2.) Sign up with facebook/your email address
3.) Select 11 players participating in the world cup in your fantasy team
4.) Join the SHH group by using the code 39488.

I know it's super late notice, but if it kicks off, it'll be a lot of fun.

Most people I've talked to are going with an Amla, Smith, AB, Williamson, Mcullum/Kohli core

I watch cricket well the T20 and ODI's.

New Zealand dark horses for the tournament.

At this point they're good enough to be genuine favourites

The match that stops one billion people

When India and Pakistan collide, it is so much more than simply a game of cricket

The term ‘game’ feels insufficient when trying to describe what happens when India and Pakistan meet on a cricket pitch.

For the 22 players who walk on to Adelaide Oval on Sunday for the teams’ opening ICC Cricket World Cup match, much more than tournament points will be on the line.

More than a billion people around the world will be anxiously wringing their hands and holding their breath for the first delivery and for the 599 balls that could follow, in what is tipped to be the most-watched match in the sport’s history.

The match sold out in 20 minutes.

That article is spot on.

We're a little less than 24 hours from the match and there's already butterflies in my stomach. This is coming from someone who has lived in the States their entire life. I can assure you, what I'm feeling is a spec of dust compared to the fever in India and Pakistan right now.

I've witnessed a broken TV, multiple fights, broken bottles (among other aerial projectiles), and countless other shenanigans in Pakistan v. India matches. No matter who ends up winning, it's always an experience to remember.

I'm certainly looking forward to it, but frankly haven't seen anything astounding from India these last few months, aside from a few innings from Kohli and a couple of others. I haven't been following Pakistan so can't speak to their form.

Pakistan probably have the best chance they've had in years to knock off India in a world cup.

Billion+ people watching

It's going to be amazing

Oh my days how bad are England at the moment, totally hopeless, not even a contest against Australia.

Bring back KP!!!

A great win by both NZ and OZ.

We do get India/Pakistan though... which is (from a global perspective at least) the best early fixture.

^ Great win for us and a strange last wicket. :p

Yeah, I don't want to win like that though, with the last wicket. Should have been dead ball After what the initial appeal was for. (Even worse, would hahave been one short even if he could have run on that one since he'd clearly well left the crease prior to the ball leaving the bowler's hand).

Have to work 12 hours today, so no India/Pakistan for me. I'll have to etch out what I can from the tv in the manager's office throughout play.

I'd say their first opportunity back in '92 was still by far their best. Back then Pakistan was a loaded one day juggernaut and India had a pretty poor squad... was a pretty big upset when they lost to them.

Miandad, Wasim Akram, Mushtaq, Imran Khan, Inzamam Ul-Haq... Rameez Raja had a good tournament...

New Zealand have improved so much over the years that I've been watching cricket, especially in limited overs cricket. And England aren't the best at the moment. :csad:

Jeebus what the hell is wrong with SA, 146/4 right now in 34 overs

South Africa are chokers when it comes to cricket tournament's.

Quinton De Kock out for 7
Amla out for 11
