^ I was never a big Larsen fan until he had a run on Defenders a few years ago. I was really surprised at how good he was. Not the style so much, as the storytelling. Guys can draw anatomy like Picasso for all I care, as long as they can tell the story.

Don't care what anybody else says about Chapter One, I still liked Byrne enough to enjoy that run.

If by "sucks" you mean "a talented guy, who was roped into penciling a terrible Howard Mackie story that he had no enthusiasm for" then yeah, I'd tend to agree. Larsen has gone on record as saying that this is one of the worst stories he's ever penciled. Not a surprise he didn't put much effort into it. On the other hand, 'Savage Dragon' can be a pretty fun read (and not just "Hulk with a fin" as its detractors scoff) and I actually dig his early artwork on ASM and Spider-Man from the early 90's.
No, by sucks I mean he sucks.:whatever:

Erik Larsen sucks.

HAHAHA!! WRONG!

Sorry, Larsen, nowadays, I would say he isn't what he once was, but back in the day, he was awesome. He has one of THE definitive Spidey ever, In my opinion (behind Ditko, Romita, and the like).

Larsen sucks....that's funny.

Oh, and my boy is right, Aquaman talks to fish...lame. Batman has no superpowers, and he could still kick his butt...even underwater.

Man....we're in the Byrne/Mackie days. Ugh. He was horrible about skipping ahead after a cliffhanger. Remember the Venom issue where Spidey is unconscious, and Jonah is about to unmask him? The next issue is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY unrelated. In fact, Venom appears, then disappears for awhile, for no reason. It was fairly obvious at this poitn that the Spidey books were a rudderless ship.

Don't lie yoda, we all know you love Aquaman, and all the more when he's in grocery aisles. You have a copy of Aquaman #1 signed by the host of Supermarket Sweep for god's sake:cmad:

Yoda's two loves, Aquaman and Supermarket Sweep. Also, ass.
