Gotta go on a bit of a rant here. The existence of Sarah Stacy and Gabriel Stacy is pretty much proof JMS is way overrated (yes, I know this particular arc is written by some guy we've never heard of named Samm Barnes). His first Morlun story was very good. Then he had some decent stories involving Dr Doom in an airport and the undead gangster guy. Yep. That's about it. After we got months of heavy-handed overly mystical yarns that would belong in a Dr Strange comic, Spidey almost mating with a woman made out of spiders, Sins Past of course, Morlun coming back for that whole The Other mess, the unmasking that came out of nowhere, One More Day (for the apologists out there who say this wasn't his story, his originally intended story sounded just as bad as the Quesada one that saw print and actually retconned even more stuff going all the way back to pre-Gwen's death). No sir, didn't care for him overall. The Spidey books are better now, warts and all.

Dude, all this an more has already been said like a million times by just about every Spidey fan on SSH.

Woo... didn't know the message-board police were out in force! Next time I think of voicing any opinion I'll be sure to run it by you to make sure no one else has ever said anything similar. :whatever:

Disagree with me, agree with me, hell even ignore me, but don't tell me what I should and shouldn't write.

You know, TMOB, you're argument on another thread about how the past 20 years of Spidey were mediocre compared to other runs, is nicely illustrated in this thread as you post both Amazing & Spectacular covers! :cwink:

Aloha,
Which is one of the reasons that this thread is so important. People need to have a full history of Amazing and Spidey in general to see what was, is and can be.

Gang War went off the rails halfway through due to the writer changing. Defalco was dumped and replaced with Owsley. It was a round-robin in the worst way.
