You think so? Whys that?

I thought there were too many jagged lines on the face, especially in the early 90's Spec run. It made his Parker always look a bit old and angry and... well... chunky. I remember much preferring the smooth, fluent penciling of Bagley at the time. I'm not saying he was bad, it just wasn't my cup of tea and like I said I still like his Spidey. Very dynamic. Anyway, you're welcome to disagree. Just my opinion.

I don't think I've ever seen that cover. Awesome! Sal Buscema is one of my all time favorites. He had a nice stint on one of my pet favorites, MTU. And his Hulk, and Spectacular work is just beyond reproach. (well, beyond my reproach anyway)

I do agree with that, in a way. His version of Pete always seemed a bit older than previous incarnations.

Aloha,
This was a variant that also had an Amazing Spider-Man counterpart. Both comics came with a cassette of the Ramones singing Spider-Man theme from the 60's. Hard to come by and expensive.2010 has been Marvel's year of variant covers (for Spidey any way). The sketch covers being the most expensive.

I'm pretty sure I got that cassette tape, but I might be wrong.

I hated this issue. It wasn't really bad per se, just boring and uninteresting for something that was intended to be an epic "end of an era" issue.

Like I said here before, I can't believe I missed that one! I love The Ramones (not every tune, mind you, but there's nothing like the spirit of that band.) Well, that's what I get for not sticking with Spidey my whole life I suppose. Oh well, live and learn.

Although I've loved Spidey for as long as I can remember and have read his comics before this one; this book left a huge impression on me, especially the bit at the end of Spidey's thinking he's going to stop Juggs or die trying. Real magical stuff for me at the time.

You and me both.... this was such an incredible read at the time...

Death has been his destiny more times than I can count. :whatever:

(And isn't that cliched title kinda silly? Everyone is destined to die)
