(Not so great story... Most of JM DeMatteis's stories are awesome and deep... but occasionally he writes a dud that is overwrought and pretentious. This arc definitely veered towards the latter. I remember reading it as a kid and being like... um, what?)

Ah yes, that lead to the demise of Scans Daily and also heralded the end of the halcyon days of our own 'Official Fans of Reilly' thread when we used to post entire clone-saga issues cover to cover. I can understand why Marvel did it, but it still sucks.

It's arguably one of the best Man-Wolf stories ever told... in fact, in this issue, we learn of JJJ's deceased wife's name, Joan (John's mom)...

Wolfman's run is by far THE BEST run on ASM excluding Stan Lee's... I'd give Roger Stern a close third.
