ASM #365 is one of my favorite Lizard stories. The only thing I didn't care for is the Peter's parents subplot that was a part of this issue.

Agreed. Great art, and a story showing Connors able to (barely) control the Lizard's body. One of the best Lizard tales of the '90s. A great follow-up to this was the short story "The Lizard Must be Destroyed" from ASM Annual #27.

Billy Conners' age fluctuates more than Franklin Richards. This story is good taken out of context, but in continuity it makes no sense. Here he seems like 14 or 15. Then in a later story he seems like a 12 year old. Then another story will have him be the same age as he was in 1964, like 7 years old. There's no consistency with that character. It's like watching a daytime soap. :cwink:

Aloha,
Whenever you write stories where there is changing of the seasons, you run into these kinds of problems. Time does move in the MU but look at the latest Amazing-they don't say that Dr Connors lost his arm in Viet Nam they just say in a war.Billy should be over 40 yrs old now if they didn't play around with the age factor.Same thing with Franklin.
Spidey rules timelessly

Well yeah, I don't expect (and don't want) time to progress like in the real world. But there used to be Marvel time, which allowed Peter to graduate highschool, graduate college and get married. And the span of years used to be referenced, like Ben Reilly's five years on the road. So characters aged veeeerrry sloooowly, but they still aged. Nowadays, everyone is getting de-aged, even Billy Conners!

That cover is sweet. Since Carnage pretty much sucked for the rest of the 90's, people forget his first 3 part arc was actually pretty awesome. I love how Spidey just becomes more and more progressively shocked at just what a sick puppy he's dealing with.

I have part 2 and 3 of this arc, but I can't find part 1. Understandable why I wouldn't be able to, but I've been searching for so long that it's driving me crazy! (thank heavens I can atleast read it in 40 Years of the Amazing Spider-Man :P ).

^Why is it that 90's characters felt that their shoulders were the area that needed the most protection? :)

It was the 'Superpro' effect! Everyone wanted to be exactly like the HOTTEST new hero in town! .... lol no....
