Gwen Stacy is a ****! Giving it up to that Green jackass Osborn. So much for her being 'perfect' for Peter. :p

Yeah... That was one HUGELY problematic part of JMS' stories for me, along with the twins. Yikes! With Spidey, I think sometimes the writers can't tell when they've gone a step too far. Because over the top soap opera crap has been baked into the character at this point, it's a bit blurry when something is on it's face value not an optimal idea.

Well they were supposed to be Petes kids at first then the higher ups said nope, it 'ages' him too much.

And that's why the devil had to annul his marriage, reverse time and kill his unborn child when his billion year old aunt told him it was her time to go after she got shot for other stupid **** he did.

I think so much of the things that have made for BAD Spidey stories comes from Marvel wanting to fix problems that never existed in the first place. Spidey being married, growing up, going through the stages of adulthood... Those things weren't stopping new fans from coming in or turning old fans off. You know what does that? Clone Sagas, or selling your marriage to the devil.

I don't hate Sins Past, it's not a good fit in continuity, but I found it entertaining.
What I hate about current Spidey is how they water down his strength sometimes, in JMS run he broke walls with his fists, in J.M. Dematteis run he punched the Rhino so hard he gave him a black eye, and made him fly.
Now he can have trouble lifting something heavier than a Wolkswagon

Morlun? He got ate back.

He dead. D-E-D. Dead.

Then he came back.

And died again.

I don't know anymore. :(

J. Michael Straczynski was writing the title and for the most part it was some of the best Spider-Man stuff in decades. Focused, fun, but it also moved things forward. May finding out the secret was really well done. Her reaction to Peter's reasoning, the overdramatic, "I can't tell her... The shock would kill her" nonsense was priceless, and true to life. Some issues like the 9/11 one are... Well you have to read it to see. JMS got the character and mythology of Spidey... Goblin twin nonsense notwithstanding. :sly:
Haha, sounds awesome.

It sucks when you have to end an over-fifteen year friendship...but sometimes you have to do what's just so incredibly hard. But the fact is that communication is probably the most important thing to me in ANY relationship. When I'm called on, I answer; if I miss a call, I call or text back as soon as I see that I missed it. But for him to use excuses like "I'm tired" or whatever on his days off, the days when we CAN hang and collaborate, just ticks me off so much. I don't even have a car yet, more often than not I'm walking to and/or from work, and I STILL hit him up and want to collaborate, because that's what you do for your friends, especially your best friend for the last fifteen years.

My heart is broken right now because this dude was a brother to me, but our friendship was more to me than a stupid YouTube channel, and even then I don't like doing videos by myself. I wanted to do this thing with my best friend. But I can't play this crap of "I'm too tired" and then go complete ghost and not reply to anything. It doesn't matter how much you work, you honor your friendships. It's not right and...I just have to be done with it.

Have some lasagna.

You know, I never really understood that fat cat, Garfield, & why he'd complain about Mondays. He never worked or anything, just stayed home & loafed around all day long. #bogglesthemind :sly:

That's very unfortunate. Is it possible this friend of yours may be dealing with something very serious right now, and that he's not ready to discuss? I went through this with a friend of mine some years back, but I was in the position of your friend, and he was you.

Whatever happened to the guy who ate Peter's eye?
Based on the event being recent, SPOILERZZZZZ
Morlun is a being from another dimension, he and his family are known as the Inheritors.
They went to different dimensions to suck the life force out of the different Spider-People.
How did Morlun return a third time for this event? They have regeneration chambers in their home world.
Why I said this was his third return? He made a return in The Other, a return in Reginald Hudlin's Black Panther run, and a third return in the currently over: Spider-Man - Dimensions event

I spoke to our other friend and he said as far as he knew everything was good. But even then, we've been friends for fifteen years. What the crap can't you tell me? Whenever I have a problem, he was always the first person I went to because we were brothers. So it just doesn't make sense to me and it angers me.

OK. I'll admit it, even though those made for tv Captain America movies are cheesy & insane, I'm a BIG fan of them both, especially part two, since Christopher Lee was the main villain in it. As soon as they were made available on dvd, I scooped up a copy for me!!! I regret nothing!! :cmad: :o
and that is why you are a REAL AMERICAN HERO DUKE!!
sure Reb Brown had the acting chops of piece of wood left over from carpenter school but when the dude bust outta that van with the music blaring that ^&*( WAS COOL!!( of course it pales in comparison to Chris Evan beating the *()outta a million Hydra goons in the elevator in winter solider! Reb was cool too!! so sue me!:woot:

So after watching the Poltergeist remake trailer, I have to ask did they replace Zelda Rubenstein's character cause I hear a man's voice when talking The Beast and whatnot...

I'm of the mind that some movies shouldn't be remade and this is one of them. I can't imagine it will be that great. :(

And they did... DAMN YOU MGM! :argh:

I thought Poltergeist already got a remake in Insidious. :o

Also it's really starting to grate that posters in the BvS boards are taking potshots at AoU. Some of us haven't seen it, yet!
