Well thats not a costume, its a disguise like when Peter wore his little outfit while wrestling Bone Saw McGraw in SM1. The official Daredevil costume hasnt been revealed yet.

I'm a fan of the black get up/"pre-costume," but they could have done a hell of a lot better to showcase it here.

He looks like Harry Potter being led to a frat hazing ritual for Gryfendor.

I guess this is what we're getting. While I get they want this to be an "early" costume,they can't possibly be serious about using that for the entire season.

That's what concerns me. Obviously it's not gonna be one night on this show. Chances are if there even is a red costume,it's gonna be a "last episode" thing

Hes basically just wearing a black shirt/pants and a shirt wrapped around his head. Its the first thing he wears as a new vigilante. As long as he doesnt talk like Pee Wee Herman and act goofy, I'm ok with it. Im sure we'll be more concerned with the action and the story anyways. Plus itll make the actual iconic DD costume that much cooler when he gets it.

They're doing it to appeal to the non-comic book/House of Cards audience who they believe will be turned off by a red suit.
It literally makes no sense otherwise to do this. The GA recognise DD in his traditional red suit. All the marketing and promotion for this has been a complete failure to build interest.
I refuse to watch an entire season of this fake costume, all the reports have said that this is the only costume for S1.
As a DD fan this is so disappointing.

All reports have said that this is not the only costume. Even Marvel explicitly refers to it as his "first costume" and there were reports from someone on set that described the whole costume.

I'm quoting this, though, just to keep a record. Let's come back in April and address this, ok?

Its not a costume really. Thats the thing. Its something a cat burglar would wear. A black shirt and pants with a scarf over his head isnt really a "costume". Spider Man has a costume. DDs dark red outfit with the horns etc is a costume. A costume implies its something iconic you wear because you want to be seen/known. Matts clothes are more like Bruce Wayne when he starts out with the basic black burglar gear in BB.

I think people should wait and watch the show before condemning it completely.

IIRC, there was a costume designer who tweeted that the costume she made wasn't in the trailer.

I'm thinking the "actual'' costume is being kept under wraps until the show debuts for a much bigger reveal.

Why would he have a full functioning costume before he knows he's any good at fighting crime? It makes sense that he uses things he already has (sort of like Bruce in BB - Gordon's office) and once he settles into his role as DD he'll upgrade to his full 'uniform'. There's no way in hell Marvel would only give us that one black pseudo-costume.

Yeah but from that terrible Ben Affleck movie from over 12 years ago. I'm sure he'll don a red suit in the show eventually but it's not like there's huge demand from the mainstream to see him wearing that thing.
