It's possible that the film contract prevents a Spidey live action show (similar to the Mutant X debacle), but Kingpin should be fine. Kevin Feige specifically said Kingpin is either with Marvel or partially with Marvel, so they either have him outright, share him, or have him for television via that Spidey TV deal. However it works out, they can use in this if they want to.

Yes, Marvel Studios owns the live action TV rights to Spider-Man. After Disney bought Marvel they made a deal with Sony which gave them (Sony) wider film options in return for Disney getting full TV rights (live action and cartoon) for Spider-Man.

OTOH, the Mutant X lawsuit means that, if they ever *did* try to make a Spider-man TV show, Sony could possibly sue them on various grounds. They might not win in the end ( hell, probably wouldn't ), but they could try, and it'd be a mess in the interim.

I doubt it would ever be an issue, though. A Spider-man TV show is still going to be impractical for the foreseeable future, and Sony would probably be eager for a TV show promoting the character that they don't have to pay for, anyway.

Kingpin's definatly a tough role to cast. Michael Chiklis would be the best option, in my opinion.

Though if they're really going for someone who looks like comic-Fisk, (and who would be a lot cheaper) I'd say at least give Adrain Martinez an audition, to see if he could pull off a major, serious role.
