I would say after. In Apocalypse he would be 15/16. In Origins he was around 16/17. However in new timeline, Xavier will recruit him earlier.

Main action of Origins is in 1987.

We cant rely Empire's chronology. And we cant rely mentions "20years old ago" in X3 intro, as we know X1/X3 officially take place in 2005/2006. (25moments : battle of Alcatraz X3 set in 2006)

From a 1999/2000 standpoint, X1 is set in the near future... 2005 is legit.

Looks like Cyclops was 20 in Origins.

Certain characters are clearly going to be born earlier in "Universe/Timeline B" than they were in "Universe/Timeline B", and there's nothing inherently wrong with that, although I do think there needs to be explanations for those much earlier births in the case of a couple of characters (Jubilee, Warren).

It has to be, if changes has impact after 1973, not before. So if you were born around 1985 in old timeline, you can't be teeanger in 1983 in new timeline, but at least 9 years old.

1966- (Timeline 1/2) - Jean Grey is born.
1973a- DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (Timeline 2) - Jean Grey is 7 years old. She's the little girl watching the stadium floating in the sky.
1973b- ORIGINS (Timeline 1) - Logan and Victor recruited by Stryker in Vietnam.
1975- ORIGINS (Timeline 1) - Logan leaves Team X.
1980- THE LAST STAND Prologue (Timeline 1) - Jean Grey is 13/14 years old. Magneto is free. Charles can walk.
THE LAST STAND Prologue (Timeline 1) - Angel grows his wings. The movie "time stamp" is wrong and should be removed.
1981- ORIGINS (Timeline 1) - Wolverine kills Deadpool. Scott Summers is 16 years old. Charles can walk.
1983- APOCALYPSE (Timeline 2). Angel/Archangel is 18 years old.
2006- X-Men: THE LAST STAND (Timeline 1)

Yeah just the beginning sets in 70's (Stryker recruits Logan/Creed in Vietnam, missions with team X) and then in 80's (adamantium's operation, Gambit, mutants prisoners in island, WeaponXI)

We do know that the opening credits for Origins stops at the Vietnam war and it's set after the 1973 part of DOFP (the movie had Wolverine waking up in New York instead of Vietnam) so it's likely 1975. A couple of years may have past for the Team X mission in Nigeria but it's still the 70's until the "6 years later" part comes up so it's now the 80's which places the movie in either 1984 or '85.

Don't forget Charles met Magneto long before First Class, but both remembered/realized that years later.
