Bare with me.

I dont know if anyone has brought this up yet but look at the police report. It referances the Mayor, Commis. Loeb and D.A. Dent. That means that Dent is already in office. Yet IBIHD.com is a political add to help get him elected. It seems as tho the Batman timeline is playing itself out right now.

Alot of people participated in this event today, and the question i pose is what if were actually getting important fodder for the movie. Like perhaps in December Ledger will actually show up somewhere and pull a stunt. Then they could use this event as an excuse to scar the Joker. Sort of like creating a back story for the movie and at the same time making us feel involved, like we played a part in scarring him.

Or just things that will expand the plot of the movie further for those fans who participated. Like if Nolan were to include something like us overhearing Gordon in TDK : "This is worst then that stunt he pulled at the convention center." Just a thought but i think it would be great.

Update :

Ya, maybe not something as drastic as us actually seeing the Joker getting scarred but Heath makes an appearance then we get another police report about him getting shot or something. Then we could see a flashback of this in the movie, altho that would be filmed at a differant time. Just sort of restaging it like its happening in a real timeline then flashbacks in the movie.

it would be great, but there would be many viewers who wouldn't have a clue about it.

Yea but just a quick qoute of Gordon referancing the Havok at the convention center isn't going to make people go "WTH is he talking about?" while at the same time giving us a very cool... inside joke.

I don't think so about the scarring in December because a great deal of movie goers are not going to know about this, just as a lot of people didn't know what happened today. Nolan is telling a story with his directorial skills for a film, not creating a themepark ride.

I highly doubt Nolan has anything to do with these stunts. He's busy directing a movie and that is why WB is in charge of their franchise and DC character. They hired some advertising/marketing firm to work with them and this is what is unfolding.

I'm on the fence. Not sure if I completely agree with you on this

I actually mentioned something about this today in the Whysoserious thread. I think it's very possible and it makes us all feel very special. That we've contributed in the Joker's history in Gotham :)

not sure... it would be cool to hear it in passing in the movie (ie something about the gotham convention center), but as far as the whole scarring during a live stunt goes... id say no thanks
