Oh ok Anthony Mackie's interested in playing Black Panther. They'll probably jump at the chance to cast a good actor like him in the role. I think ill be back to Idris Elba for Stewart

I think he meant a leading man/superhero. I almost cant count that role ^ cuz it'll bring my hopes down of seeing him in JLA . I'm in denial i know.

Well he wouldn't be the leading man in JLA either, it's an ensemble picture.. but let's face it.. Batman and Superman are the leads.

Manhunter is the only role Idris can play in JLA.


Apparently the first script involves Hal as the Green Lantern.

I'd love to see him play Black Panther myself, but his role as Heimdall would conflict with it in the MCU.

Now i know this is unrealistic but do you guys think Denzel Washington would be up for Martian Manhunter? He enjoys comic book movies, he doesnt look his age (i know 57 is getting up there but he's in great shape and the character wont need to be a young man necessarily, his age will be hidden somewhat)

Here's a recent pic of Denzel. Pretty good shape for his age. (just going through a bunch of great actors at the moment that have what it takes for the part: well-known or obscure)

I think if JLA happened around this time instead of Avengers , maybe they would have chosen Denzel as the african-american veteran of the team that assembles the League. Sort of the role for Sam Jackson/Nick Fury but for Martian Manhunter. Even Lance Reddick is 50, and some like that choice.

Elba will be in his early 40s if he were cast. I think that's the best age for the character. Should be the oldest looking of the group, showing his experience.

In her prime(as far as action and looking the part) Lucy Lawless Was Wonder Woman, imho. Too bad WB has twiddled their thumbs so much on the whole WW and JLA stuff and that prime opportunity passed

I wonder if they would really just do a MoCap guy, and then voice over MM such as they did with Silver Surfer. I would hope that would not be the case, but if they did, it would be great to hear Carl Lumbly's voice again.
