The Killzone Franchise Thread

So I downloaded killzone liberation onto my vita recently, and I'm having a blast with it. Then I remembered that there was a 5th chapter dlc that I never actually got to play, but I can't find a way to dl it to my vita, it seems it's only compatible with a psp right now. Does anyone know anymore about this? I wonder why the dlc isn't even on the PS store, makes no sense to me.

That chapter came about a good while before the PS Store made it to the PSP. I remember having to jump through a few hoops to get it back in the day.

I've been playing the first Killzone for the PS2 and the absolute lack of checkpoints is just pissing me off. I hate having to go far in a level and then get have to start from the very ****ing beginning AGAIN!

Yup! I remember when I originally played it in '04 How pissed I was when I would restart and realize I was farther back than where I originally was. As time passed I realized it was just best to work my way up to the long checkpoints.

It looks promising indeed! By that time I'm thinking on buying a Vita and I hope it doesn't disappoint . My only gripe from what I've seen is the overuse of the kill confirmation chirp in single player. Other than that everything else looks promising.

So, i'm not a huge FPS anymore. I used to play Battlefield 2 a ton and some other games...but after a while I stopped. Never got into CoD/MW or Halo.

But then I remembered a game I played a while back called Killzone 2. So, I decided to give Killzone 3 a try.

WOW....loving this game. I dig the universe they created, the story and the action is so cinematic. I'm a huge fan! And after seeing the trailer for the next game on PS4, I can't freaking wait! It's one of the few FPS I actually like now.

I loved it. Spent tons of hours on 2 and 3 improved its MP. It was really fun the way it was set up as it would dynamically change game modes during the match. There were 5 rounds and they'd go from a standard team death match to CTF, bomb the base, etc...with no transition. It was all seamless and felt original when introduced. Plus this series had bots so you could mess around and practice off line if you were intimidated with other players

I'm just gonna come out and say it..I think Killzone has some of the best, and yet most under rated MP of this generation. I'm ok with it though because I never had CoDBro problems in KZ.

I don't think it was really even underrated - people looooved Killzone 2's MP, myself included. The only other game that comes close to it is Bad Company 2.
